Well, by looking at stats, yeah the KT is not just an AI vehicle.
But functionally, you know, from game experience it serves heavily in its AI role. Or rather, I should say it is most effectively used in an AI role for all practical purposes.
A single t34/76 can kill a KT without taking damage if there's the room for it to circle strafe. I've (mostly) done it before. (Baited it onto a mine first.) For that reason the KT doesn't exactly excel in an AT role, which you wouldn't really be able to surmise just from its stats.
Its like saying su 85 does not excell in AT role cause a 222 can solo it.
Losing a KT to a t34-76 is like a darwin award 100%
Sometimes you lose because you made some cocky mistake (eg not buying sweepers, losing squads or overextending light vehicle) and then you will learn even without mistake.
And sometimes you lose even if you was on par with your enemy, but you don´t know what was the main thing why you lost game. These games are best for watching.
So you just said that you learn more from lose than win, like i said
OK, i finally decided to play as SOVIETS in 1v1 becouse BRITS are too hard or i just miss the better commanders.
The went well but always when i am good i just fear what enemy is saving resources for. Yeah Tiger.
He just dug up behind mid and waited and waited and i felt i just cant let Wehrmacht go to late game. Maybe I should just capture side VPs and dig myself too, but he had 2 mortars non-stop denying any kind of advance covered by MGs and Paks. I think the first T-34 was not good, Katuysha would be better but i was expecting him to start doing something but he just waited.
I am not using Hotkeys yet, but i cant find any way how to force myself to start using them. When I tried it vs AI I almost lost becouse i had to think about which key and i was not paying attention to the game itself.
Maybe i should just try to drop my ELO becouse when i was doing my first 10 matches as SOVIETS i crushed every opponent by spamming Cons and with most of the map build just T3 and T4 and rush T-34s to Destroy his base. Easy-peasy. I lost only like 1 match. Then it placed me to rank 7 but i cant see it anywhere anymore.
Point is that i think when i was unranked i was getting another unranked new players, but becouse i wrecked them all it placed me to 7, not sure if its good or not but i cant keep up here.
You dont learn if you crush your ennemy easily, you learn more from defeat than from victories, analyse your replays is always good ! i always watch my replays when i loose
Remember:
- 120 Mm mortar will totally destroy Wher mortar cause it outrange them
- If he play campy, Katyusha is better than T34 if you are not confortable with a good flank
- Try vetting a T70 and use the vision mode, its like a map hack. information is key in this game

1) battlefield terrain. It is in 90% of all times better to stay at long range in green cover against grens in green cover than closing the gap through red cover (even with ooraaaah) in order to get close range. You will lose many models and won´t be able to win that fight even if favorable distance. BUT you can stay in long range and use that time that long range and green cover gives you in order to flank grens with another squad (here is job of ppsh). Why I don´t want to lose that long range DPS ? Because even if these cons kill only 1 gren model until reinforcements arrive it may be main factor why you won that fight.
2) OKW. OKW have sturmpios and volks. Both melt cons at long range if you upgrade to ppsh and also melt them if they try to close distance (volks get time to deal damage).
Hovewer if you can flank enemy in most cases and it is rather urban not open map, ppsh is not upgrade. It is just not no-brainer like gren lmg or riflemen bar because it is rather downgrade in open maps and against players that prefer pgrens or sturmpios in their rooster
Yes, you have to play the mouse and the cat with 2 Conscript supporting each other, this is why i have 4 Conscripts ( sometimes way way way more )
Or use mortar smoke barrage to close the distance, its a deadly surprise
USF: Mortars / Howitzer
SOV: non doc mortar, 120 mm Mortar
UKF: mortar pit
I use indirect weapon to harass OKW T4, they risk a Sturmpioneer dying in one shot ( Repairing a building / vehicule make you take 100% more damage ) if they keep repairing during mortar shells.
If you have a unit providing vision for your AT gun, it can help
They have high reinforcement cost because they can stay back and don't have to drop models, while rifles and cons always have to drop models in order to be effective. Infantry sections would deserve the same reinforcements cost.
The sniper is overperforming but the new patch change makes it handelable
Its more 65% allies and 30% axis atm,in 2 vs 2 at least.Dont worry though more will get frustrated and leave or serious ones will stop playing axis to preserve theiur ranks and switch to allies.COH2 is making progress.All that is needed now is a stug nerf so we can officially declare ostheer a dead faction.
