A lot of hate for Minsk, it can be a weird map with the native fuels and corridor feel, but I think it can produce some great games. I esspecially love it as soviets due to the large size, so its easier to cap large parts of map as soviet.
Personally for Werh I think Faymonville sucks due to how spread out the resources are making it difficult for Werh to keep forces close together. Might depend on build and playstyle though. |
OK so a Stug G has 130/120/110 for short, medium and long penetration values.
A 34/76 has 150 front armour.
So my question is, whats the formula that determines pen? Or whats the size of the RNG added? And how much can that very on different weapons? |
Just getting 1 conscript and building t2 straight away for 2-3 maxims can work well as it will bleed much less MP than cons.
Use the initial con to cap and then just to merge reinforce your Maxims.
Saves fuel on con upgrades to get more early tanks. |
The origional MG42 was fine, HOWEVER..
The replaced capping circles allowing support weapons to cap points made it far too easy to be aggresive with a heavy Mg build.
Having mostly Mgs should force you to be defensive. Being super aggresive with a lot of suppression machines is the problem relic gave us with the change in how points cap from vcoh.
So the compromise is now MG42 underperforms. :/
Increase cost, suppression, popcap slightly. |
I think the Kappa patch fix is a better way to approach it. Make calling a heavy WITHOUT tier 3 or 4 cost more.
On the other hand, in vcoh KT was like a 88 and bunker combined, and super slow. You deployed it to one point on map and slowly applied pressure with it. Redeploying it to other flank was a big oppertation. So if heavies more replicated that somehow, it might be nice. |
Yeah it wouldn't suit the Soviet faction (which I love the design of btw).
If you had this in a doc, it would have no heavy tank, no heavy arty, no elite inf. So in the end would be slightly bland.
Rough example:
Dshka HMG.
Armoured Vehicle Detection.
Rapid Conscription.
Fear Propaganda.
[Pak43 variant].
I think the SU100 would suit them more, make it a late call in, better AT than ISU with no AI, not as good as elefant, again the rest of the doctrine would be gimped. |
Yeah cool down is time between shots or bursts. Rate of fire is just how fast a burst is. |
Its not relevant to howies Vs tanks. But I actually think the Lefh is pretty cool. Throw it on counter barrage and it reacts to indirect fire really quite quickly and surprisingly accurately through the fog of war, all for zero micro!
You just have to set your force up in tye right way to get the most out of it. |
Maybe if they had a higher chance to crew shock tanks. That would help them get hit more often.
The way to use Lefh isnt to think of demolishing their forces, rather build a strong defensive position of bunkers, paks, stugs, maybe a pak43 if you use combined ops. I.e. Bait the opponent into investing in indirect fire, then use your howie to smash the indirect fire.
|
I think the current howies can have good uses, but they dont fit in with what people are building in the meta.
Werh don't tend to build a lot of bunkers, trenches and tank traps, where the ML20 would shine.
The lefh 18 is probably best used to protect German defensive positions, and hence why German indirect fire units have counter barrage ability.
Generally most people just keep a more mobile force, so howies not ideal counter.
