I just rewatched Episode 1 and I saw Theo use the Jackson there, but theo pretty much won that game the before the Jackson even came out. All the VODs i watched after the patch came on Ep4 was the only one where the Jackson was used. (though i will say the Jacksons dominated that match at the end. Funny enough the USF player still lost.) These are the only like 3 of the 15 matches? In: COH2 Balance

Do you have a better explanation for the USF performance in the series? Have you actually watched ANY of the games? I have watched nearly all of them since the patch and i can't remember a game where a Jackson was actually built by the USF player.... And if your using King of the hill to argue for balance.... the skill difference between these players and the rest of the people in the top 200. They might as well be playing a different game. Thread: What is the weakness from Jackson?16 Jan 2018, 12:59 PM Well the other factions don't really need to use TDs as much as USF, As soviets i usually go T-34/85s if i want a bit of fun, or ISU if i really want an easy win. As ostheer i see most of my opponents go P4z mass or tiger with mortar ATG support As brits its really all over the place and on top of that i don't really see people playing it, its a boring faction. As Okw p4j or double panthers As USF i usually go Sherman->Pershing or Jackson--->Calliope. Thats just the meta of the game right now. And the meta for every faction will always be spaming one type of unit or upgrade. (Like g43s for ostheer, or the old double LMG riflemen <---- these guys were true liberators) I am speaking from mostly 2v2 experience here. (http://www.companyofheroes.com/leaderboards#profile/steam/76561198031315574/standings) my player card. The Jackson may be overpowered, but i say wait for more time before making it a fact. A lot of people in this thread seem to being having a knee jerk reaction(me included). I as a USF main player disliked the old Jackson. One mistake slight mistake and any other tank in game could rush you down and destroy you. The new Jackson is a breath of fresh air in the USF late game for me now. Something i can use in my arsenal to finally go toe to toe with late game high armour tanks which USF as a legacy for struggling with. I propose that we wait and see for another month or so before dropping the hammer on the issue. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: What is the weakness from Jackson?14 Jan 2018, 08:49 AM The jgp4 shoots WAY faster than Jackson. And tbh the jgp4 is rather overshadowed by its brothers they pv4j and the panther in OKW. Both of which can penetrate all allied armour short of an IS-2 or ISU(<--- this tank is the real op joke) I find that people think the Jgpz is weak because unlike the TD on the allied side, the Jgp4z is barely better at dealing with allied tanks compared to other options OKW have. But that doesn't mean that the Jgpz is weak, its just how allied tank armour is once again a mythical meme. In: COH2 Balance

If you make the P4 any stronger against the Jackson, the meta would be simple. Spam P4? why not, its the best manpower bleed medium tank in the game. Easy to tech too and now that it can deal with its only tank counter since you either made the jackson weaker or the p4 stronger there is no reason to get another tank. "Bazooka"<----- if your medium tanks are getting destoryed by squads running around with bazookas sigh Also if you want the P4 to be stronger vs the jackson, then follow that same logic the sherman and t 34 should also be stronger vs the panther. Thread: What is the weakness from Jackson?13 Jan 2018, 04:42 AM Problem with it now is that the Jackson is the only TD option for USF to deal with medium and heavy tanks that isn't vulnerable to indirect fire. All factions need to have these options and for the most part they do. The problem when comparing Axis tank destoryers and Allied tank destoryers is that armour for the allies is a meme, while for the axis armour becomes a bigger and bigger part of the tank as you go up by tier. The Jackson is a TD, even worse, its USF only TD, it needs to be able to deal with any and all tanks medium and above that USF goes up against. All the factions have heavy tank destoryers (Yes the panther is a TD, I don't know how the community balance team think of it as, but when i was working with relic balance team we always consider the panther to be the axis version of a Heavy TD) and for most part they all the equal well of dealing with the enemy tanks medium and above. I can't speak for anyone else experince but i notice that the Jackson kills Pvz4 just as well as a panther would kill a T 34. If you do make the Jackson worse against medium tanks, which i wouldn't mind. I would hope that the sherman would have its value vs medium tanks boosted as an offset. I play mainly USF and after nearly 3000 hrs of coh 2 and just reaching Rank 2 as USF i find that medium tank battles are an RNG fuck fest. Armour and penetration especially for the allies is completely is completely out of whack. If i see an OKW pz4j as an USF player, a sherman is out of the question, its just putting my life in the hands of RNG. I kinda lost track on the point i wanted to make with this post. For what i have read so far it seems that people are frustrated with the Jackson 60 range? but that was the same last patch and in fact i would say that Jackson was even better last patch vs PZ4 then the current patch. 2 Jacksons would turn the Pz4 into memes and dreams for cheaper fuel cost if i am not mistaken. This patch getting 2 jackson while still would rape Pz4, it atleast cost more fuel. In: COH2 Balance
