It's a testament to the genius of the original design of the CoH franchise (cover, suppression, etc) that even after all the DLC policy, balance and bug problems, CoH is still the best RTS. |

Future tourney confirmed? |
What I'd like to see in terms of OKW AT:
1. PSchreck and flamethrower exclusive with each other, but one of the two can be combined with the minesweeper;
2. Panzerfaust available from the get go (why isn't it anyway?);
3. Some kind of survivability and/or veterancy rework for the Raketen. It's quite potent with veterancy now, but getting there is a problem, especially with the Tokyo Drift retreat animation.
Panzerbuchse doesn't feel necessary for reasons already mentioned. |
question about the cover mechanic and garrisons... i know that within 10 range, cover no longer applies. does this apply to garrison cover as well?
Garrison cover always applies. Many people tend to rush a building and place a squad in green cover right next to it. Then Sturmpioneers lose to the garissoned Rear Echelon. I wish there were advanced tutorials explaining things like this, since they can easily swing engagements and apart from asking Cruzz or trial and error, there's no way to know about them.
Edit: What he said ↑↑ |
I like the first idea (although I'd like to see the Soviet team retain a higher LoS than the others), but I'd prefer a 5-10% further increase in received accuracy over changing retreat modifiers. |
All med stuff should use aura healing like the USF and Brits have, Ostheer would get that from med bunker (and finally it could be used in field and not only in base) and OKW med truck the same
Absolutely agree, would solve the medics chasing issue, and also the medics or the units they heal getting stuck. It would be a small loss of immersion (lack of actual medics) for gameplay's sake.
Also, is there a point to the Ambulance lockdown? Could it simply not be made to always heal when stationary (and in friendly territory)? It's not like the ability has a cooldown that prevents you from moving immediately, it only adds frustration. It feels like a leftover from the timed ability. |
While I don't think call ins are a serious problem right now (or at least much less so than they used to be), nothing would be lost and a lot potentially improved if they were tied to tech.
+1 to the idea. |
The CoH2 life cycle so far has been a buggy, messy, badly-designed content release (the game itself, commanders, new armies), followed by excellent patches, each of which improving the game a lot (and breaking at least one thing). Release-fix-release-fix...
That being said, I can't think of another (non-subscription/non-f2p) game that has seen so many serious and good (and 'free') changes after release, such as Observer mode, War Spoils, custom game list, Battle servers, etc. All of these should probably have been there at release, I agree, but it counts for something that they were added eventually, and if they focus only on bug fixes and balance from now on I'd be willing to buy a skin pack for every patch, even though I couldn't care less for cosmetics.

Sounds like you may be using windowed fullscreen rather than actual fullscreen. Try alt+enter. |
it's for casters not players, so... Garden logic
If this milestone (Milestone 5) is achieved by September 4th, 2016, the remaining 2 competitors in the tournament will receive a paid trip to Vancouver, BC, Canada to compete in the Grand Finals at Relic Entertainment’s studio. |
