As to answer your question,if you read my second post,I didn't complain about their combat effectiveness but that they are too spamable,maybe an increase to cooldown or manpower...or give the Soviets a spamable unit too  )

I don't know Nullist,but you are a logical person so I'll ask you don't you think that if two Ostrupen squads defeats 1 Conscript squad,at the time your first Conscript squad is coming on the field the opponent has FOUR Ostruppen out,that's in the first minute of the game,so tell me your opinion,how is this fair and balanced?...

I think you are obviosly doing something wrong...If Shock Troopers are at near-middle distance from the MG team then Shocks are pretty much surpressed from the first burst...don't know if this aplies to the Soviet -10 surpresion buletin that Shocks can have... |

They are too spammable,so the answer is no...had games when the opponent had 4 Ostruppen squads the first minute...I had 1 Conscript squad out at the time so I believe you can imagine that was a disastrous game for me...
Conscripts are pretty useless the way they are now,this unit makes them even more useless,so sorry I can't agree with you on this point |

well the answer would be dont go t2, but still they are vulnerable to suppresion and mortar fire,it is a bit risky since they can grenade them both, t2 is a more defensive aproach, while t1 is a more agresive one. by the time you see assgreen you havent even built a strutcture yet.

At cost, this makes sense.
Though its a nightmare for Cons alone to deal with, the solution is other units.
Cons will not, imo, ever, be able to match up to that.
Asymmetrically, Sov must invest in specialist infantry or out-tier with armor to deal with that.
Its a vested Ost prerogative, due to lack od otherwise specislist infantry. Know what I mean?
Cons are never ever going to be able to beat a Gren that is invested with :BOTH LMG and g43s, which anyways, is 8npy possible with ONE commander.
If you invest 120 muni in a unit, it deservedly needs to have some seripus punch.
Totally agree with you here,learned that the hard way though...my usual build is 4Cons->Shocks->SU-85 or T34's,depending on the situation and the opponent's playstyle...

30 Damage sounds like a lot. If they would fire as fast as Conscripts with PPsh.
There are many factors for the DPS of a weopon  , also don't forget the number of weopons for a aquad.
Well had a game when Ostheer player spammed Grens with LMG's and G43...didn't end well,at each shot the Grens fired a member of my Conscript squad died... |
