Ha? |
to day i was lucky and my guards nade took down entire building with 3 men squad mg.
so no, there is no bug.
also i noticed that if the house lost 2 corners even if its high on health if you throw the nade on the third corner there is a big chance bringing the entire house down.
more over in general nades are not a good way of getting inf out of houses. i usually place an inf squad in the house and just sitting through any grenades utill 1 man left, it is a good way to make your opponent to waste ammunition.
unless in strategically critical moments nading a buildning is mostly useful if you have enough fire power to annihilate the exiting squad. then it is cost effective.
Thanks Timujin.iI |
The guns will fire automatically while in camo, unless you give them a Hold Fire order.
It was a while ago, I may have used Hold Fire and forgot about it. Or had that issue, that Stephen is describing..
Either way, thanks for clearing up that for me. |
I only used camo twice, I thought it doesn't fire by design until the camo is removed...... |
Vet for both units at vet 3 is the exact same.
true, now that I think about it. It has more to do with German using ammo more freely by that time (rifle nade vs molotov)
Than again, I go purely by my own experience of the game
P.S. I might exagerated a bit with vet 3 vs vet 1... |
I don't agree with first statement. I play Soviets as well, and somethimes I win / sometimes I lose vs grens..
Large part of it is RNG
Veterancy, sure. Vet 3 conscripts can hardly hold their own vs Vet 1 Gren, let alone Vet 3.
I think Relic is redesigning Veterancy for next patch... |
I sort of agree with blitz + smoke giving it a bit of to much punch and free 'get out of jail card'
But you are supposed to use cons or Guards to supplement SU85's
If you are playing 4v4's, than yeah. combination of stuka, straffe, opel trucks, etc.. Don't tend to end well for Soviet armor vs blitz panthers...... |
For a tank which is as expensive as an SU85, the Panzer 4 has been nerfed so heavily a few patches back that it is as ineffective against infantry as the panther.
From the perspective of the German player it makes no sense to go for a Pz 4 when you can call in a panther or StuG for far better AT and for anti infantry an ostwind is miles better.
The Panzer 4 feels like the abandoned child and the proof is in the meta game where I hardly see it built either when i play Germans or as Soviets.
Right now a Pz4 needs to get at least some of its anti inf accuracy for its main gun back. Its ridiculous to watch it fire 10 shots on a conscript squad and miss each one. Contrast this to the 85 fuel t34 which now is only slightly on par AT wise and can sometimes 1 shot an entire German squad.
Are you still playing COH2? You haven't by some chance started playing SC2, that would be why you don't see Piv's |
Plenty of ways to counter bunker in 1v1
concentrate on other side of the map, where you have advantage due to bunker cost (1 unit less, no flame or LMG)
Meanwhile save for demo charge, flank (or use clown) to get to bunker and blow the thing up.
Alternatively build Zis and engage it while pressing somewhere else
If you cannot do this, It is not the bunker that is the problem. You are just facing someone much better than you.......
If you are talking about 3v3's and up (some 2v2), than yeah bunker is incredibly hard to defeat on some maps and certain key positions.
completely taking out Con rush, flanking, snipers, clown, etc. Making some parts of map untouchable for Soviet player entire game (with bunker + Mortar + Pg's later Elephant)
But thats more to do with balance and use of Soviets intended for 1v1 being almost completely nullified in team games.
Of course, well drilled Soviet teams will have tactics to deal with this. Random vs random team, very hard to defeat unless Soviets are significantly more skilled (player for player) |
Terrain permitting, the Nade lands where you throw it, yes.
To my knowledge there is no RNG involved in where a Nade lands.
Well if that is the only logical conclusion, than it must be me |
