AT gun pathing is pretty horrible at the moment. I've just watched in agony as AT gun crews just stare at the ground deciding if they're going to play the AT gun and fire or not... |
Definitely, I made the error playing a few 4v4s yesterday... oops... It seemed like they'd have a Panther or a Tiger for every T-34-76 I built. |
True, but good luck getting the fuel for that.
I don't understand how you can say Soviet flexibility is anywhere on par with German flexibility. Germans have access to all their army list. Soviets have access to half at a relatively equal price to Germans. Not only that but German units are superior in most respects to Soviet equivalents. Somethings wrong when you need a ton of micro compared to your opponent who requires a good deal less. |
I must say, I'm not sure why it has to be some writer, I'm pretty sure a lot of people relatively knowledgeable on the period could do it (hell I'd love to do it...) |
Correction: no longer sold by 1C studios (though pretty much the same I think...) |
If you want annihilation, why not just chuck in an option in automatch to take either a VP or annihilation game. I'd be fine with either really. |
I've tried the SU-76M a lot. It just doesn't cut it. 1 P4 and they just die with vehicle pathing what it is... They just feed a P4 vet tbh... |
Nullist -
The IL-2 was actually specifically designed with armour facing downwards to prevent enemy fire having such an effect. It even had its radiator placed on top of the engine rather than traditionally on the bottom (where it's going to be hit). The Stuka not so much. |
A much more skilled opponent this time who beat me pretty well, whether my rage at OP Panzer IVs which upon reaching Vet2 became invulnerable was justified or not remains to be seen. Showcases the SU-76M a bit more as well as some extremely heavy Penal Squad use. |
I make no claim to being particularly pro or anything, but here's a new strategy I'm trying with the much maligned penal squad as well as the equally maligned SU-76M, this all coupled with the very much maligned NKVD rifle disruption tactics, which proves very, very effective at times, even though I could have used some more of the doctrine.
Not a very good game, but a good showcase of a couple of different things. |
