ruskies get more op units like cheap KV1 (120 fuel/440 mp wtf????) , forward hq , 203mm howitzer which now can arty your own base while Germans get ... an even worse stug3 , ostruppen cannon fodder.
Where is the king tiger ??? (knowing relic's history of hatred with the tiger probably they will make it cost 1500 mp and 1000 fuel and have range of 30 with su85 being able to kill it in 4 shots)
I cant comment on the new tank because I have not used it or played against it, but this type of ignorant comment shows that you are probably the one with "pro german blinkers".
Abdul as usual with his pro soviet blinkers on forgets that IS2 got a massive buff unlike the tiger which actually got nerfed.
Tiger needs to have its range at least equal to panther and slightly better AI. Its ridiculous to watch a conscript squad charging up to a tiger knowing the tiger can shoot at it for >2 mins without retreating.
That's very ignorant to say in many ways, but focusing on the issue the IS2 can't beat the Tiger. In fact 1 on 1 often tiger will win the fight with 30-40% health left, that's good for the tiger.
It's actually pretty high if you consider Tiger as a doctrinal tank and SU-85 is twice cheaper and takes twice less pop cap and SU-85 you will get earlier for sure
You were comparing the Tiger cost to the Panther, but if you want to compare it to the SU85, you have to keep in mind that 1 SU85 is no match for a Tiger. 2 SU85s can win a fight against a Tiger. Excluding teching costs they cost together 640mp 230fu. That's about the same as a Tiger cost.
yea, Tiger seem to be balanced right now, except it's cost, IMO it should be lik 680MP and 170Fuel, since Tiger has AT effectiveness like Panther or maybe worse because Panther got higher range, but it's greater vs infantry, that's why Tiger should be slightly more xpensive then Tiger, same thing with other heavier stuff, all cost fuels are just enormous
It's actually pretty low cost if you consider that it is a call in tank that requires no teching costs to get. If Tiger came out of t4 building it would cost you 200 35 + 200 50 for research and 160 35 for the building.
A T-34 ram or AT nade stops it cold and again it can't dish out enough damage before just getting engine damaged and destroyed by the SU-85s.
I use it all the time and I think its fine except for this part, its so random that sometime the engine is damaged from the first grande or never even after 6 hits. Here is a video showing a single tiger getting hit with 4 different at grnades and none penetrating and making engine damage.
Same goes for ram, it should not work against such a tank when its coming from the front against a full health tiger. The tank is slow enough not to be able to avoid it.
Tank accuracy is determined by the size of its target (an attribute of mostly vehicles) and its accuracy:
size*accuracy = chance to hit
Infantry have a small (or no?) target size, meaning only "missed" (scatter) shots hit them (see scatter and AoE mechanics). So the current 0.5 modifier does have a negligible effect vs. infantry.
Missing slightly more when you already miss nearly all of the time doesn't change much.
As for the scatter modifier it maybe would be interesting to test but it'd probably mess up things too much. Maybe on some vehicles that have scatter values much lower than comparable vehicles, e.g. the T-34. But I guess it doesn't really matter, could mess up the balancing too much and if a unit were to be nerfed, other means (e.g. AoE reduction to reduce AI damage) are probably more reliable tools.
Thanks, what I gather from your comment is that tanks on the move miss the same against vehicles or infantry, it's just that infantry gets killed by the scatter not the direct hit so the accuracy reduction is less important.
On topic; do you feel moving vehicles should also receive a scatter penalty? This would penalize them more equally against infantry and vehicles. Adding a scatter penalty ontop of the accuracy penalty would bring the relationship closer to vCOH levels for reference.
What I understand from your comment is that moving tanks receive accuracy penalty against other tanks but not infantry?
I think tanks are fine now against infantry. If you penalize their accuracy more they will become useless against infantry because they have to keep moving to avoid panzerfaust and At nades.
That's just unlucky on your part. I find the 120 is very hit or miss. Good for shock effect but normal mortars are much more precise.
No it happened several times where a 120mm mortar shell would land on it or near it and damage it. If there is 2 of them shooting at the same place it gets wild.
