Point 1 and point 4 were bugs which were hot fixed. As for the rest of it, I'm not sure Soviets or Germans are really happy with the FHQ right now. The bonuses are really good meaning it can be a pain if you don't have indirect fire near it already BUT the thing is stupidly expensive for how easily it's killed when there is indirect fire available. One mortar crit and you just lost 480mp and 80 fuel.
I think the FHQ would be a lot more viable and less annoying for everyone if it were 250mp (like the base medics), decappable, and only provided healing and reinforce, no combat buffs. Also, if it were decappable and provided no buffs, I really don't think it would need a setup time at that point. |
Dunno. Havent seen him mention that. Armor is 1 for sure, atleast.
Ya, I can't remember which thread it was in now but I'm almost positive he mentioned that they have the 1 armor but 40-ish hp. Makes sense as they hold up somewhat to small arms but die very quickly to mortars, molitovs etc. |
Ostruppen have the same HP and armor as Cons... they are "as tough", already.
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Woof mention somewhere that Ostruppen have 1 armor but only 42 hp or something close to that? |
Apparently yes. It appears that '1v1 and tournament community' is only valid community and rest of the COH2 game modes is there just to generate players for 1v1 tournaments and to evolve into tournament players.
It doesn't matter what they think/wish for.........
Oh come on man, I appreciate your grievances but saying shit like this kind of makes you sound like you're pouting. Lobby functionality with annihilate and all that IS in the game, it just requires you to already have people on your friends list and is thus not up to the standard of the community. Relic can still fix it. It's not like they're pissing in the casual's Cheerios while high fiving all the pro bros. |
I don't think it's needed honestly. They are already unique enough in their cost, added capping power, trench building, recrewing etc that there doesn't seem to be a need to add an ability which steps on the toes of the Soviets and adds even more possible balancing issues. I already really like them just as they are. |
What on earth are you guys talking about saying it's bad? A well microd scout car is one of the most efficient units in the game. Even if you lose it late game, it can easily pay for itself many times over in the mid game. |
I still like the idea of making them 240 or 280mp, 0cps, come stock with k98s and have a 50 muni upgrade to mp40s. This way, you can choose to bring them in early to start vetting; it retains the flavor of the doctrine choice; they don't completely replace grens as they have no fausts, lmgs or rifle nades; and they don't start off too strong but still have the option to upgrade their damage output.
I understand those who are saying that they would be similar to grens if implemented like this, but I think that they would have enough diversity with strengths (infantry combat), weaknesses (no faust for vehicles) and flavor (0 cp call in with assault nades) to warrant them being a separate unit. |
I didn't notice a whole lot different but it's kind of hard to tell with that frantic setting. Seemed like your weapon teams retreated every time without messing around but that could have been lucky. Did the T2 building build faster or was that my imagination? |
As far as I can tell, the reason they don't want assault grens to come with kar98s and have to upgrade for 50munis to get mp40s is that it'd make them very similar to grenadiers... just better, which would, on some level, render grens obsolete. Furthermore, they are supposed to be assault grens, and so it only makes sense that they come equipped with assault weaponry. On the other hand, I'd like to see their nades changed a bit to make them more interesting. Perhaps, make it so that their assault nades "stun units" so that they can no longer shoot but still move at slightly reduced speed. This would complement their role pretty well, as it'd allow the assault grens to close in.
I disagree. Assgrens don't have rifle nades and they don't have fausts. Not having fausts is a big deal against t1 and later with the transition to armor. If you completely replace grens with assgrens, you get leave yourself open to vehicles. Seems like a balanced choice. |
Why not make them a 240mp, 0cp unit that comes stock with k98s but has a 50 muni mp40 upgrade ? |
