People shouldn't be talking about "balance" in the first days, but they should be talking about counters and stuff. If that takes people going "KING TIGER OP UNBEATABLE" then ok.
And then other people tell them how they counter it, and how those strats get countered etc.
It's how a playable meta evolves. |
I think the panther stats are fine, but I think the cost increase was a bit much. 175 fuel seems a bit too much when a Tiger is only slight more with no teching cost. |
Having teching required for call-in is not a good idea IMO. The reason that call-ins cost extra fuel is because they do not require teching. If I have to tech to t4 to get a Tiger, why not just get a Panther instead for cheaper? It doesn't make sense.
Or even worse, why get a KV1 if I have a T3 building up anyway? T34s perform better in almost every way, for cheaper. The whole reason the KV1 has any value is because you can get it without investing in tech. |
Agree with this, german player, regardless of costs, often need 4 actions to counter a single soviet click. This is what is OP, not really the units. With T34/85 rushing behind a tiger, you need to micro your tiger, to micro your gren/mg to stop a single conscripts to throw an AT nade, while the russian player always have the advantage of the action. The problem is that the german player, if you don't play REALLY aggressive, always have to react to russian simple actions.
BTW, i'm not even considering arguments from people who don't even show their ranks in their profile...
How is this not the same for Soviets if you say charge P4s into a IS2?
i.e.

ZiS trades mid game performance with it's barrage for late game viability with reduced RoF and Target Weakpoint. It's asymmetric balance. Same reason that Grens have a non-doctrinal weapons upgrade and Cons don't. |
Zis AT gun. At vet it kills tanks like a boss and it's barrage feels much more powerful.
Agreed, or a recrewed PaK. Not only are they easy to vet, but once they hit vet 3 they just kill everything.
Vet 3 cons are pretty dope too. |
I agree |
Read this thread, stopped using pzgren, buyed G43 and a Pak, won 4 games in a row.
This is this the only thing I can really agree with in this thread. With Elite Troops, you can get G43 grens with stun nades that can almost completely fulfill the current role of PGrens for a fraction of the cost. Obviously this is more munition heavy, but I think the pay off for much less mp, and easier vet makes G43 grens almost always the better option.
Shrek PGrens are great though. They are vulnerable, but they can absolutely demolish armor, and they still have bundle nade and decent normal dps. |
Me at work. Couldn't wait to get out and go to the gym. |
Wait, do you mean like best doctrine that has the Tiger in it? Or best doctrine that suits the Tiger? Cause I think Spearhead is the best for the Tiger itself, since it has MHT support, smoke, recon and frag bombs, all of which can directly benefit or complements Tiger pushes.
BUUUT, I think that Elite troops is the best of those doctrines, even thought the Tiger Ace itself is not the linchpin of the doctrine. |
