They both have terrible pathfinding
Just played a game, and jagpz4 loves to do donuts when there's a clear reverse path
I find this especially hard on the Semoski map, right at the cutoff points with the narrow passages to the village on both sides. More than once my Su-85/ ISU or Elefant has got stuck between the flag and the water and had to back off, turn, drive forwards and then get stuck again. |
Maybe all the super units (Elefant, ISU-152, Jagdtiger) should get a lock down ability similar to the Marder III in Coh1. Only if locked down they are allowed to fire. Then it would take about 5-10 seconds to get them moving again. Give them 100 range back, but don´t allow them to fire on the move. This way they could lock down a sector, but would be vulnerable to flanks and would have to be used with caution. |
If anything vet Tiger needs some health increase. Getting your vet 3 Tiger killed by 5 penetrating Jackson hits is annoying. |
You forgot Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, Italy, Hungary.
Thing is, the second front was only opened in 1943, and the "real" second front in 1944. By then Germany had lost pretty much all of it's initiative on the eastern front and was on the retreat.
Sure, lend lease DID help, however, you can argue that swedish metal and romanian oil also helped.
Most of germanys casaulties were on the eastern front.
Germans pretty much focused their entire millitary in 1941 on operation barbarossa, and still didin't win.
It was an example. I didn´t write down the smallest axis nations and Italy, because they don´t really matter. Italy switched sides (and struggled on teh Balkan and in North Africa) and the other nations were simply too small. For the same reason I didn´t list Brazil, Greece etc. for the Allies.
Without the Allied bombings, the German industry would have produced more equipment to fight the Russians. Those bombings started way before 1943. It bound the forces of the Luftwaffe for home protection - which might have had air superiority versus the Russians otherwise. |
So you are saying it is not the red army that defeated the wehrmacht? I don't understand.
Once again, this is making no sense.
If the wehrmacht was constantly being defeated from the battle of Stalingrad and onwards, then how can the wehrmacht be the superior fighting force? It doesn't matter what were the causes of this. They lost. That's what matters. And saying that they were the superior fighting force is wrong. They lost for a reason.
Once again: "They lost." isn´t an argument to consider an armies value. Germany was at war with the most industrialized countries of the world at once.
To keep it very simple: Germany + Japan vs. Soviet Union + USA + Commonwealth
Now what do you think was the best army of the war? The Russians? Then let´s change the places: Oh, shit... Soviets would probably have lost versus USA + Commonwealth + Germany combined. What a bad army the Red army must have been...
Shit logic. |
Yes of course the wehrmact was the superior army, that's why they lost the war.
Your logic doesn't make any sense.
That "losing the war" argument is totally invalid. Let´s assume a boxer gets into a brawl with 10 regular dudes. The 10 guys defeat him. Does that make the boxer inferior in his fighting ability man per man? |
I don´t think the Pershing would be a good addition to the game. I like that the US have this realistic flair of not relying on heavy tanks. One commander alone could destroy this gameplay and you would see Pershings in most of the games.
What´s needed (for the heavy tank skin) is a Sherman Jumbo. There was a 75mm and a 76mm armed version of it. |
Why did they change the supply drop in the first place? It was good in the older versions.
This op-ness was in sight with the changes made. It´s similar to the old overpowered Soviet forward HQ. It can´t be capped and the passive aura stacks. Oh, and it blocks roads ultimately for vehicles.

Easy Eight might be at its place. Then that´s one reason more that the Panther needs a buff. |
I hate the Soviet faction in this game with a passion. When playing them, I´m bored, when seeing a Soviet opponent on the loading screen, I´m like: "Not Soviets again."
They feel incredibly cheesy.
You either have to face 6 men weapon crews which are so robust, that they can - even if you counter them properly - delay you and slow the game down, so it´s no longer fun.
Or you face an annoying dual sniper combination with Guards and mines. Try reaching those snipers.
I´ve played games as Soviets losing only a 4th of the units the enemy player lost, because he couldn´t reach mine.
Throw in the ISU or T-34/85 spam with mark target late game and the bullcrap is complete.
I wouldn´t call it a huge balance issue, but I have no fun at all playing versus most Soviet players. It´s incredibly dull. And yes, I prefer the mobile US meta. At least you can try to kill that, Maxims and snipers are a fucking cancer. |
