They could start with small tweaks and work up. It's a feature, after all. Not screwing with 1 v 1 is something we all agree on, this isn't an either / or argument. Thread: My Epiphany22 Sep 2014, 18:51 PM I think the additional man hours to completely segregate the balance of 1v1 (and maybe 2v2) from larger game modes makes this impractical. I cannot think of a single RTS that has ever done this. Not saying it's not a worthy goal - shoot, balancing each of 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 is likely the optimal way to handle it, cost and time not being considered. But, Relic has trouble patching the game in aggregate in a timely enough manner for the community. Can you IMAGINE the wait times for patches if they tried to even double their workload (or thereabouts) patching 1s and 2s separately from 3s and 4s? GPG didn't balance 1v1 separately from other game modes. Blizzard does not do this. Near as I can remember, no studio has ever considered it worth the investment to do this. Again, that's not to say it's not desirable. But I think it's highly unpractical and not likely to ever happen. In: COH2 Gameplay

It doesn't prove anything conclusively, and many people (myself included) rarely if ever see stats like that. Sure, I have, but my average search % in 2v2/3v3 is more like 60-40. But perhaps future USF commanders could have an ability ... to upgrade the fighting position to spawn mechanics ala CoH1's Wehrmacht bunker upgrade? I do the same thing with RETs. It's safer, a lot of the time. Especially in larger match sizes (3v3 etch) I really like that idea. I'd love to see Fighting Positions become more versatile. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Just some stats16 Sep 2014, 23:44 PM Resource reduction would hurt players who are buying units/tanks more often though, right? It's easier on average to keep Axis tanks alive than Allied tanks. What if you're at 50-70% fuel income in a 4v4 and you lose your t34-85s? Aren't you just that much more screwed? I think map design has a lot to do with it. Give us more maps that are easier to flank on. So many 3v3 and 4v4 maps are mazes of straightaways and choke points. Easier for Germans to hold imho.
