Thats fair I have only used it 3 times but all 3 rounds landed where i wanted them to go. I appreciate the input definitely will have to take that into consideration.
You must have gotten lucky. I tried to hit one of those big paks and missed 4 times. You have to kinda just fire it at large clusters and hope you hit something till you get vet.
You are pretty spot on about everything else though. |
The soviet arty is pretty inaccurate on it's own. It's only after it attains vet that you can use it's precision shot to hit what you want at the cost of 50 muni. People seam to be under the impression that it is accurate while using its normal barrage. |
A quick question about hull down. Do you have to wait to get out of it or can you just bust out? |
Report after the first day post patch.
Played three games and all opponents I encountered used the new assault grenadier doctrine, I won all three games however. Sure, they are effective against conscripts but this game is all about adaptation.
Maxims are very effective against them, like they are against any type of infantry.
I also encountered the new PGrenadier Halftrack and the only thing I wondered was if the Pgrenadiers come upgraded with shrecks out of the box or not? Anyway, infantry seem to be unable to reinforce from the halftrack so I had no problem with that either. They seemed to be able to fire the shreck from inside the halftrack which was kind of cool.
Oh and I used one of the basic commanders, I haven't spent a dime so far.
Assault grens are only game breaking in the first stages of 1 v 1. They aren't overpowered as a unit though. |
Maybe they can make the cool down longer. It wouldn't be that bad if there was only one of them. |
So I imagine 2v2s are already Assgren and .222 Scout car spam in the early game?
Even for 1v1, it's becoming build order poker from the sound of it with Ostheer able to dictate what the Soviet has to build.
It's actually a bit more manegable in 2v2 since you can work with your teammate and building a building right off the bat is more acceptible. It's 1v1 where starting with 3 assgrens and teching straight to T2 is impossible to defeat. |
The t34 is fine as it is. I think you guys are looking for a battle tank that you can use in hordes like the german side.
I don't like that kind of play, but if that's the demand, so be it.
Relic should include a FREE KV1/43.
T34/85 |
No, that is a typo. Nothing was changed on the ZIS barrage ability. We pulled it out after testing showed it wasn't a good change.
Yeah I wouldn't think three shots would do much or be worth 60 munies. I don't see why you thought it needed to be changed in the first place, never saw as being very powerful? |
Yup, my fears are true. Just played 3 game, first two immediately raged quited after being pushed completely off the field in the first two minutes. The last guy who stuck around got a M3, but if you skip T1 you can easily have a scout car out to counter it.
Also something else a lot of people are probably missing. They are available immediately! Which means no build time and can hit the field well before the first conscript.
This needs to be fixed immediately. Probably be pushed backed to 1 CP so soviets can have an actual army by the time they roll onto the field.
For soviet players: Get to know this commanders face. If you see it build T1 ASAP. It is the only way to stay on the field. |
The problem is that soviets usually start off with a couple of conscripts first. You can't really get the scout car out until the second engagement. Assault grens basically let's the Germans easily win the first engagement which is a pretty big head start. The only way to win the initial engagement would be to build T1 immediately, but you wouldn't even know that he has assault grens by then.
Not to mention that the entire commander has call ins that helps skip tiers, the German player will have the resource and tech advantage from beginning to end. |
