Hi, I've been experimenting with 4 RET--> vet rifle lately. The timing and MP works out almost perfectly so that the vet rifle comes out as soon as it can. The 4 RETs allow huge capping potential and theyre okay infantry in large groups or with BARs. A lone volks can be creamed by 3-4 RETs and they usually don't see it coming. I only build vet rifles and immediately tech to BARs and nades with extra MP, followed by CPT and fast stuart.
I suspect LT might be better though. The BAR/SMG plus fast M20 could be interesting.
The real value of the strat is that you can apply almost constant pressure on your opponent. The RETs reinforce so cheaply (16 MP IIRC) that as soon as they're back at the base, you just dump 48 MP and back in the fight!
Anyhow, is this a valid strat at higher levels of play? |
just give the incediaries to sturms |
For what it's worth, I'm an Allied player
The Panther is supposed to be fucking good. It's the best medium tank in the game! Now that the E8 is buffed and the Comet is on the field, it's even more important for the Panther to remain where it is powerwise.
It will beat a Comet 1v1 but if there's anything to tip the scales in the Comet's favor, GG Panther. |
Okay I lied. I'm not truly ambidextrous but I'm pretty good with my left hand nonetheless and I'm training it to be ambidextrous.
So, I need a 2nd mouse. I have an ergonomic G602 gaming mouse for my right hand which is fantastic! I wish I could just get a mirrored version but the market is just too small. It has:
1. Ergonomic grip. I don't want an ambi mouse. The hand is not symmetrical.
2. Sensitivity adjustment button. This is crucial. I play a lot of games like War Thunder where I need to adjust my sensitivity on the fly.
3. A healthy selection of thumb buttons that aren't too small (some gaming mice have a keypad but the buttons are tiny. Big hands man)
4. Preferably wireless and preferably coming with a mousepad but those 2 are no big deal
PS: Does anyone have any program suggestions for mouse practice? I'm alright for slower paced games with my left hand (hell I prefer them lefty! My left hand is more patient!) but strategy games are just too much.
PSS: How would I configure windows and the game I'm playing to register two mice? I can see myself in a CoH 2 game turtling with the left hand then switching to the right when the going gets hot. Or just switching when one is sore. |
It's simple. The 17 pounder, sim city, the Comet, the AVRE (god bless this fucking death machine as long as I'm playing allies), the reinforcement points, ect, and the Good ole churchill finally supply the allies with the tools needed to stand a chance in a 4v4 game.
This army has some FUCKING MEAT. The Soviets are by no means lean but the Brits can actually go toe to toe with the German factions! God I love this! Not to mention the synergies possible now that the USF has some late game support.
tl;dr relic released a new faction that fixes 4v4 |
Anyone else having a choppy framerate with UKF trial? It's not my computer. I have a 770 GTX and my graphics are relatively low, plus my rate is great on reg COH 2
EDIT: My framerate WAS great on COH2. I just checked it and it's just as awful all of a sudden |
can anyone else confirm
|
@OP, PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN |
oh i agree but relic sucks at actually improving the game without breaking something else. they also almost never do anything specifically suggested/asked for (recent patches being the sole exception to this and only happening after a ~~year).
Relic is learning. I'm glad you acknowledged this but I wish more credit was given |
My initial impression of the P4 was that at 135 fuel, it was a bit over priced, since it was in the same league as the sherman and t34/76. However, on further inspection, this unit is both well priced and makes the game funner. Why? Because it just fits.
At 135 fuel (plus the OKW shortage) it is no doubt priced above its weight class but that's the beauty. The OKW aren't supposed to have a generalist unit. But having 0 kinda sucks and makes the faction gimmicky. With a steeply priced P4, they have a generalist--if they can spare the micro and fuel that is. It's a sort of specialist generalist. That is, it's specialization IS being a generalist.
It's pretty neat I think.
Also, while Elite armor still sucks, it's an improvement for the doctrine nonetheless. The Troll Tiger gives it a reason to pick and buildable solo P4s are way more useful than the old P4 call in. Also, the P4 is a good platform for HEAT rounds. Panther doesn't need em. Puma is dead if it's facing something that needs them.
All in all great change and I highly recommend this unit (and a 5 fuel adjustment. 135 is a tad steep I feel) |
