Regional localisation is not the same as 'native' language. A Spanish localisation will have German figures speak in whatever is the appropriate-sounding accent for a Spanish-speaking German, I assume. So no, it's not "there".
I also hear the German localisation is terrible, FWIW.
Not a problem at all. Germans speak german in the german version. Russians russian. You dont use the german voices of the spanish version of course.
The files are there. You can check yourself when changing language into russian or german.
Its the work of a day to implement this into the game.
But i understand with brits release this kind of cosmetics is far away.
But I believe in relic. |
I disagree. The Tiger buff is great. It´s going down within seconds to AT and especially the British. Now there´s a reason again to go for Tigers and instead of mirroring an IS-2, they gave it range. That opens up for some great new playstyles.
Also a Tiger that needs to be used at range is quite realistic. I also like that. Improves the immersion of the game.
Can´t wait to kick some ass with it on veterancy 2 with 20% increased range.
Yes. Tiger was out of the meta. With those changes its back in. Such an iconic WW2 tank just needs to be a valuable choice. |
Hello all,
I do not post in the forums very often and I am not going to raise a balance point per se.
However I just thought I would like to thank RELIC for their real engagement with the community for the last 6 months.
They will never please everyone - and balance will always be difficult in a game like this where poor players tend to blame balance rather than their own abilities!!
My real point is that RELIC seem to be listening and more importantly engaging - twitch, new factions, new units, updates and talking to us.
I can only assume someone in finance spotted a direct correlation between income and community activities.
Keep up the good work!!
PS. I am not a RELIC fanboy - I am a COH2 fanboy and my favourite game (am 44 now) seems to really have life in it.
good job.
I feel the same. Love this new dedication to improve every detail of the gameplay. If relic keeps the pace up we could have a masterpiece of balance in a couple of weeks/months. For an RTS with 5 completely different factions, that's big. RTS-balance on such a complex level has only been achieved by Blizzard so far.

Playing mainly 2v2 and here the mortar pit is a big thing. Its main problem is not its offensive power but the fact that through endless loop of brace structure it is basically undestroyable. |
Though I enjoy using it, why does the Croc need a main gun anyways? |
Yep. Definitley. Volks look like basic german frontline dudes. They, out of all the units, should have the very recognizeable and WWII-typical regular 'Stielhandgrenade'. Plus, the incendiary one suits the aggressive spirit of the Sturmpioneers (voice acting) way better!
Basically, it feels really weird to see Volks like that and takes away a bit of the typical ww2 feel when german basic infantry is throwing incendiaries all the time.
Also, it is weird from a gameplay-design perspective, also: They get sth that is (probablly) similar to soviet molotovs. Yet, soviets have to pay for an upgrade and Volks are even cheaper than Cons. I would imagine it could become quite annoying when the new Volks Incendiary is being spammed. It would just be too much incendiary to feel right.
Plus, it would provide a bit more incentive to go Sturmpios early-game if they had that extra anti-garrison capability. This again would encourage more varied OKW starting builds.
They should rethink that change!
Fully agree with your argument and your conclusion. Sturms with incendiary, and Volks with Stielhandgranate. Change is still better than before.
But there will not be any incendiary spam for the muni starved okw, dont worry about that

You can SEE AVRE aiming at you because it have low range.
You will NEVER see properly used sturmtiger and will know it was there by evaporated unit and squad/tank lost announcement.
Yes, AVRE can potentially shoot more often, but unless you have a micro and reflexes of your grandma, you will NOT be hit by the AVRE once you'll realize its limits.
Sturmtiger and AVRE have same 640 damage, sturmtiger have 1000 pen, AVRE have 150 pen, both have similar aim time, but AVRE can't ignore shot blockers and can't fire from FOW, giving you time to react before each shot.
It doesn't matter that Sturm shoots slower and reloads longer if 100% of its shots are effective, which can't be said about AVRE vs non sloth type player.
You sure about all this info? Cuz it seems to my that AVRE actually can ignore shot blockers. It shoots across buildings at least.
Also watched the stream of stormless or siberian yesterday almost getting wrecked by AVRE. It has nothing to do with granny-like micro. Paks, Mortars, MGs and very slow tanks will get hit occasionally.
The auto-reload while moving is the feature which lets me trade AVRE for Sturmtiger any time.
Well, admitted, a bit early to start a balance discussion. |
And let me guess, sturmtiger doing the same is "fine and balanced".
Sturmtiger needs manual reload and cant move while doing that. ARVE has insane reload time and almost same damage (feels like its even more for single targets, just less AoE).
Guys, ARVE seems a big issue in terms of balance. Wouldn't you agree? |
I'm blown away by the beauty of this new batch of maps. Cherry trees and sloping vinyards at Arnhem, massive industrial pipe structures and rusty run-offs at Gelsenkirchen, the huge shipbuilding yard at Hamburg... I see that so much work was put into making new buildings and interesting architectural elements for these maps. They also feel like WW2 and Germany under the grip of the National Socialists.
I was just in Munster and I was reading about the history of that area as a place where chemical weapons were developed and it's some gnarly stuff. Somehow the map at Gelsenkirchen evokes this kind of frightening factory where some nasty shit is being developed. Just a fantastic map. KUDOS to the designers.
Relic, who do we have to thank for these? I wish there were credits somewhere that said who worked on which maps.
[...]
Thank you. Was feeling the same. Great work by relic. Highly apreciated.
Though difficult to play, I really love the atmosphere of Düsseldorf. Feels like a true german city in nazi germany towards the bitter end.
Gelsenkirchen is a bit clusterfucky but looks good and as soon you can bring down some walls it becomes quite decent.
And Across the Rhine could be one of the best 2v2 maps.

I was thinking about this post a lot, so please read carefully before replying:
AVRE, dafuq? |
