Hello.
Playing 2v2 on axis side as OKW. Do you guys think a double Sturmpioneer opening is viable against brits?
Volks seem very weak and shrecks are not really needed in abundance. In early they loose against tommies, in mid there are not many light vehicles around and in late most brit tanks have strong AI capabilities making AT infantry an mp drain (centaur, chromwell, comet, churchill).
Could it make sense to go Volks, Volks, Sturms instead of triple Volks? If, yes, in combination with which commander do you think this is usefull?
Appreciate any thoughts on that matter. cheers. |
Nah!
I can beat Expert bots too!
My problem is, i dont want to play against more manpower, (which can mean its gettig harder)
as soon as my enemy leaves the game!
When the enemy leaves, it should mean that i won
gg
The tactical use of units by the AI borders on ridicule. Manpower does not help if he looses wave after wave of his men. If you can beat experts bots, one enemy leaving a game is basically gg. |
wow hard bot so hard to win against
Ironic how a guy with 1400+ posts and probably as many hours ingame, laughs about people who have mostly not invested that much time of their life into coh2 and therefore cant beat a hard bot. And your comment draped with a "foreveralone" emote. Delicious internet. |
light vehicle lack any durability outside of early game. Any sniper hunting attempt will inevitably be a one way trip. If you can't kill it on the first attempt you're already in the red in terms of resources.
What sniper needs is a nerf to their retreat bonus. Even a rifleman have problem killing them on retreat.
Also, the british sniper's rof over distance is almost flat, unlike the soviet and german sniper who fire faster as the enemy get closer.
Right now it is not impossible to kill snipers with a decent flank. Sniper hunting is not conducted by a bren carrier rushing into the enemys position. I can imagine if you have a vehicle dealing 50% increased damage within your flanking force, it becomes way more easy.
Nerfing retreat bonus could make them unplayable. And the british sniper can fight armor. No wonder he s clearly weaker then other snipers in the game.
Lets play new patch first, then judge. Relic presented a solution which seems very viable IMHO. |
do a Ai game, fight against Hardbot and watch the replay
you can see that he gets more MP.
Hardbot is now cheating too.
A cheating Ai is a unfair compensate for a leaving Teammate.
AND YES! A HARD BOT WILL REPLACE A HUMAN PLAYER.
So whats your suggestion to fix your problem? |
Universal Carrier, WC51 Doge, 222, Kubelwagon, and M3 Scout car now have 50 bonus accuracy to snipers type
I think that was relics way to nerf the OH sniper
50% acc boost vs snipers pretty much could solve any problems any faction ever had with snipers.
Shouldn't we play that patch first and then look for solutions, if still needed? |
AI got some decent skill boost. I was checking brits first day and was pretty surprised at all the bunkers and pressure form that bot. Kudos.
Replacing a human player with a hard bot shouldnt be a problem though, even if he cheats, its an easy win for the other site. But I can imagine it being a problem on lower levels of play, were people are not on the level of easily beating an expert bot.
Not sure how to fix that though. |
Thread: Brace5 Sep 2015, 20:23 PM
I like the brace ability on british emplacements with the cooldown of 90secs like in the patch preview.
I feel like this discussion should more go into the direction of OKW trucks getting something similar.
Right now, the trucks cant withstand any concerted push in a 2v2. The british offmap bombardment of the commando-commander alone destroys full health trucks in one strike.
As long braced, the OKW-trucks also would loose all their functionality (no healing, no repairs, no flak). |
Panzerwerfer was nerfed, so was katyusha. It wasn't very significant.
Keep in mind that relic IS buffing the panzerwerfer in the next patch.
I'm not saying its going to break the game, only that the change was not needed. Why did it need a buff? It was more effective againts infantry than the IS-2, and slightly less effective againts tanks than the IS-2. (More effective againts medium tanks thought, still)
Just because there is one allied tank in the game that it couldn't beat in a 1v1 slugfest doesn't mean it was underperforming.
Of course it was underperforming. Tiger couldnt stand a fight against ISU or IS2. There was no reason to build it, except maybe the Ace version. Most competent players went rather for two Panthers for flanking or Elefant for hardcounter.
With the buffs it will be back in the pool of axis options. Probably one of the best alround heavies in the game. I think thats how it should be with such an iconic unit. |
just give the incediaries to sturms |
