Profile of Ginnungagap

Personally i have much trouble with early and well microed T70s (damn you, VonIvan!). It lies in the nature of the unit: In the right hands it is unkillable except by lucky Tellermines and can prevent mapcontrol and consequently tanks that can reliably counter the unit. Some indirect nerfs to the T70 could be made if it's not overboard.

1.give Panzergrendaier 60 munition sherck.
That would make PGs too good all around. If you let them get a single Schreck, the other members must receive a nerf to their AI capabilities in some form.
120 munitions may seem expensive, but it's absolutely worth the price.

Spare the munitions and don't get lmgs or flamerHT if you fear an early T70.

2.221 scout car main gun upgrade cost 40 munitions.
Even with the recent veterancy changes i feel 40 munitions would be to cheap.

3.german teller mine cost 30 munitions can only be triggered by vehicle,anti- infantry minefield should be like the one in soviet.
Only if the damage is reduced drastically. A single S mine for 7 munitions would be too powerful and spammy (as is the soviet one), but a quadrant for ~30 munitions would be cool.

4.ostwind fuel cost decrease to 85 fuel, stug 95 fuel, Panzer IV 115 fuel.
Leave it, the Ostwind is a very strong unit that only get's overshadowed by the utility of the P4. The "cheap" counter tank to the T70 is already the stug.

5.LMG can only upgrade when your HQ upgrade to level 2.
This has nothing to do specifically with the T70.

6.decrease Grenadier armor from 1.5 to 1.2, but change it from 4 to 5-man squad.
This has more impact than you might think. You have to balance every unit around them again, so no.


I would look at the soviet industry commander for a nerf more than anything else right now.

Players without manners get absolutely no sympathy from me. He recently said "only a retard would build 2x stugs", after i "noobishly" destroyed multiple t34s and is2.

He is a very good player indeed, but goddamn he acts like a 12 year old.

Problem 1: Penals come out to late.

Proposed solution: Make everything else except grenadiers come later.

I don't get it. That is only encouraging grenadier spam. Is it a problem to make the buildtime for soviet T1 and/or penals shorter? Hell, let penals be build instantly and see what happens.

LMG grens won't be as prevelant once you see penals viable.



Problem 2: No light AT options in soviet T1, total reliance on Guards call in.

Solution: Give penals some sort of at capability. Let them be upgraded with svt-40 OR PTRS/Bazooka (no unit should be good against both AI and AT). Or make satchel charges funktion like uber-stickies (sticks to vehicles, ~240 damage, no splash, no engine damage) if you fear they will be to similar to guards. Make one guy run up and suicide instead of throwing it, that would be cool.

Is veterency linked to use of abilities? If so do you gain xp everytime you use moltov and oorah? seems pretty cheap compared to ost abilities?

No, i'm fairly certain that's not the case.

The XP kickers when a unit is killed provides XP towards commandpoints.

Since 75% veterancy is received from damage dealt, damaging vehicles with their comparably large HP pool can give quite some experience boost. That's the reason why Panzergrenadiere with Schrecks level up so fast.

Equip your grenadiers with LMGs, they should level up faster than any conscript.
