That's indeed a Jagdtiger, ooooooh baby mhhhh-mhhhh.
I mean the Elephant is already a very extreme unit stats-wise - how could they ever realistically depict the Jagdtiger? It would be invincible and one-shotting everything. Madness! |

Yes, that's true. I would like to see a decrease (~half) in explosive range across the board first.
Last game i one-shotted a maxim with full health and crew with one rifle nade. That should never happen, not even if the munitions cost is higher or the wind up time is longer.

Calling it, Battle of the Bulge expansion with complete new american faction coming late 2014. |
I'm reasonably hyped about this. |
Yes very funny.. still no good explanation as to why the beta version of the game not only looks, but runs faster, smoother and seemingly with none of the huge errors that plague it to this day - ie terrible inf combat, terrible rng, flame rng and one shot squad wipes, and my most hate issue non existant physics
Exactly. We have to find out why that is. Maybe we can interrogate playes who played the alpha/beta and ask the hard questions. |
Priceless.
You have to dig deep and find out what really happened HS King.
All the puzzle pieces seem to be there.... but they aren't making any sense. Something is missing, something feels off. It's like there is something going on behind the curtains that is way to big for you, for me - for all of us. |
It's more realistic, sure, but also tedious. For me the fun lies in the battle, not necessarily the logistics surrounding it.
CoH is a fast paced game, with the focus on arcade-like action. There are many immersion breaking things, and i don't think weapon upgrades popping in the middle of a battle stands out.
One ability that comes to mind is the hull down ability the Germans vehicles have, where you need pioneers to do the work. It's inconvenience. If the ability would function on their own, you would see that ability much more often.
Another example is the Men of War series, where you can call in a munitions supply truck, with a vast assortment of different types of shells. And you can transfer whatever you like via drag-and-drop from one vehicles inventory to another. Some people like that kind of detail, and some regard it as busywork.
TL;DR Gameplay wise i think it's fine as it is. |
I've heard that idea for the first time.
The ability is -for the low munition price- already extremely devestating. If there is no timing, no risk of wasting munitions involved it becomes a spammable no-brainer choice. What would stop you from converting munitions into extreme damage if no drawback was involved?
And does anybody know how many bursts one magazine provide?

Arnold is just a cool guy.
And that poor little SU85 D:
