It's bugged, and has been for quite some time.
If you upgrade the squad when you have 4/4 members, and lose to 3/4 models, then reinforce back to 4/4 , only the surviving members (which is 3/4) will have the infiltration trait. Meaning that one model will not infiltrate.
In a nutshell, it's pretty useless due to the bug. |
I'm having so much fun in this game. I'll probably end spending equally many hours in it as I have with the entire DoW franchise.
It's so weird, you can get frustrated and annoyed, but you just keep coming back for more. It's like a drug. A good one tho. |
The worst part is that people exploited this on livestream and, that they openly mention this exploit/bug on forums (explicitiy telling how to accomplish it) for everyone to see.
It should have been kept behind closed doors. Sometimes I wonder what kind of idiocy goes around here.
It's like saying, "Hey, there's a cheat guys - and here's how you do it", rather than go for the subtle approach of just pmin'g a relic dev with the information. I took that approach the moment this patch went live, and it was all for nought.

Did Relic fire all of their playtesters or what? And why weren't things properly tested on the beta server? What the fuck is the point of it then?
Mortars are fine with 1x or none of the bulletin that changes their accuracy on their auto-fire barrage. It's when you stack 2x of them that they break down.
In other words, if you just use 1x bulletins, they actually get much more potent. |
It absolutely goes bajizzle. The accuracy goes absolute apeshit for the most part. You'll probably just end up killing yourself in the process.
Targeting near you will make your mortar fire backwards I believe. Auto-Barrage (Ability) actually just goes complete mental and will fire just about anywhere except where you told them to fire.
However, I do believe just having 1x of the accuracy improvement makes them very very accurate, esp on the soviet mortar from our games so far we've had. It's almost dead-on every shot.
But it could be fluke on the soviet part.
I built like 3 mortars, and each one of them ended up killing themselves (or well, they did end up killing engaging squads!) at one point. I didn't realise there was something wrong until Fortune pointed out to me, then it all so clear for me.
So yeah, I guess that is another thing that needs to be adressed in the next "hotfix" patch I guess. There's probably more littering around, just haven't gotten around to fiddling with it.

Partial bug + Partial gameplay issue
I strongly recommend that you DO NOT use the 2x accuracy improvement for your auto-fire mortar (Mortar Hero + Mortar Training Veteran) (german only) unless you want witness something extremely funny, annoying and weird thing.

People are exaggerating, blowing things out of proportion, jumping the bandwagon of QQ way to fast.
Soviets are INSANELY strong, I dunno wtf people are going on about with the whole "Idunnohowtobeatdis" qq. It's just frustrating to read. Esp in 2v2/3v3/4v4.
Facing Assault Gren commander is super-ez win in team games. They're so easily punished by T1 play, and you can easily mitigate the T2 purchases either way by getting Penals for counter-pressure.
Yes, penals. People should get them, they're bloody brilliant now in the current metagame. |
