I usually have two or so squads sitting behind my cons and they make short work of any advancing gren/ass gren spam. The key is to know when to retreat them (And keep them in cover as much as possible) due to their relatively low survivability. i think so too. but i still have to figure which BO is best with them. 3 cons doesnt seem to work because it got hardcountered by assault grens opening...I need to be agressive early game to get the quick XP point to send them in. Thread: partisans5 Apr 2014, 15:30 PM i think i meant the soviet irregular troops. Its a small band of 4 infantry units that carry a random lmg like LMG or something that looks and sounds like a BAR. The commander seems to be called something like: reserved soviet forces. In: Red Army Strategies

Thread: partisans5 Apr 2014, 13:42 PM Has anyone gotten any experience with the commander that includes the partisans that can be called in for 180MP? They are vulnerable, but a good support and available very early to support a strong early game. I was an experienced CoH1 player and just started playing coh2 (after I played the beta in june). So Im not very experienced yet, but I like the unit as a support, plus they have grenades. I use them with 3 conscripts, flamer upgrade if gren spam / molotov if mgs and heal upgrade. 2 irregulars mortars / at and anti tank nades the mid / late game is still messy. edit: what I meant are irregulars. Thread: CoH vet here. Should I get into CoH2???1 Apr 2014, 14:55 PM i just got in it and I think it's quite cool. Lot of stuff that wasnt in retail/ not working are working well now and Im excited to get some more matches off. I played CoH2 in the beta and have been playing CoH1 a lot. Isn't he just saying CoH2 is more like DoW2 and therefore nothing like vCoH? Im not playing CoH2 atm, since i dont have a computer atm. But i played the beta. As much as I loved vCoH and agree that stuff was different for the worse at some points, I enjoyed the game nonetheless. As a little defense to coh2, the first video comparison between the two games in an artillery strike seems a bad comparison to me. In the one of vCoH there is clearly more of a swoosh to the artillery shell incoming, and the building destruction is fascinating. But there is no battle going on, as in the CoH2 video, plus there is no building being destroyed in the CoH2 video. How can that be a comparison? In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Infantry disparities:19 Jun 2013, 09:21 AM i just played ostheer mainly. And I do find the vulnerability of axis troops quite annoying once medium tanks (T70) come out and my infantry can get killed easily if I don't retreat them instantly. And ye, Russian forces are harder to wipe out in general with all squad sizes larger. But I don't know if this is imbalanced in any way. In: COH2 Balance
