40/50 T1/T2 + 140 T3 + 85 Tank = 265/275 for first T34
Bare in mind you start with 50 fuel so discount that and we got 215/225 fuel required.
100 fuel from BP only + 25 building + 115 P4 = 240
If you go T1 and or T2 you need to add 10/15/25 to that and discount the 10 (?) fuel you start with and we got 245/255.
So indeed P4 comes earlier . Quite at the same moment. Then again, AT nades or molotovs are not unnecessary upgrades
edit: im sorry. t34 a little earlier. Wehrmacht starts with less fuel? |
P4 earlier than T34? You must be doing something really wrong, always in my games, I always encounter enemy T34 fighting my shrecks/paks for example...
Count the fuel I guess. Soviet tech is more expensive and even if they come at the same time, panzer 4 is still much stronger. |
got some replays? |
neither should they make the changes too big lol. It happens quite often that i see 80/20 soviets. Havent played germans at all yet, but agree that germans have all the insta-kill stuff and stuff to finish whole squads on retreat (mp44, g43, lmg), soviets on the other hand are playing with toy guns.
Why does Panzer 4 even come out earlier than T-34, its fucking stronger? |
i doubt it would work in 1v1, right?cons are just bad...and stalling with cons wont work therefore. |
I agree, its hard to pull off, this tree. Cons seem to be to weak to put off a fight, and together with the irregulars, ATs and whatever, you need a lot of micro not to lose squads. Even early game is a bitch against a better player..
These LMG irregulars, with their low health, are a pain if they're not properly positioned RIGHT away. There is no more chance to replace them, because focus fire will get them to 2 men, and it's gotta be insta retreat then.
I got even more frustrated when I had a really strong early game, got the whole map but 2 points (which he fuel OPed), and see the Assault grenadiers (the ones of the tech tree), still wipe away my vet2 ppsh cons. Sometimes even 2 squads...I really curse the conscripts in these moments. But without them the tech tree is useless. |
ye, nice summary. I couldnt edit the OP title..pity.
Im not sure about their veterancy either. But perhaps they're not even that important late-game. I try to preserve them by having them stationary but losing them lategame wont be a heartbreaker. Early-mid game, together with the ppsh upgrade of cons its quite effective.
Im working on a strat with this commander now, ive just started playing this weekend so I still doubt the effectivity at high lvl play, but with 3 cons, ppsh upgrade, at nades, mines, then Tier3 T-34 is pretty much the most effective way of using the commander.
Since then you have
+ ppsh for 3 cons
+ cons to build sandbags for irregulars
+ at nades for 5 squads
+ 2 units that can throw normal nades
+ repair on cons for T-34s
Though mostly I also get a mortar and prolly an AT gun extra. |
When im not getting the XP point early enough, only having 3 cons can be really hard against the 3 grens that come early. But partisans are not really draining in my experience, dunno what their reinforce cost is...
Positive is that they also get the AT nade upgrade. So having 3 cons, 2 partisans and maybe a mine somewhere, can be good enough to surprise the AC with an AT nade. Late game they're only good to put in buildings or to support your flanks, since they drop like flies when focused fire. |
I like the patch. |
that, and i've been trying to focus on munitions first, to get a quick flamer on my engie. they make your army much stronger already and xp flowing in quickly.
unfortunately, the irregulars have to be microd extremely well. |
