What I was trying to say is that an ace would be much more harder for Germans to counter as they don´t have: Ram, spammable mines, button, mark target and more range on their StuG. All combined, nice solutions to cripple the Tiger Ace. I´m not saying the Tiger ace is balanced, but a Russian ace would be over the top ridiculous and bullshit. Yes, even more than a Tiger ace. Because if that's the case then Soviets will have no reliable tank to kill a Panther unless they use doctrines which shouldn't be the case. Jessus christ, the damn speed of the panther and turret makes up for it's range, if you really want to outrange a panther then grab the spotting scrope. Plus the SU-85 only outranges significantly if it uses its cone sight ability which makes the SU-85 a turtle. The Panther and the SU-85 are fine at the momment. If you want realism go play men of war, if this was realistic panthers would be killing much more tanks per death, but then again its a video game. As for Tiger Ace, you really need to pray to Rng gods for those methods. But I agree, if soviet gets an equivalent, the ostheer is screwed if he doesn't have a good doctrinal tank. Unless you have target weak point or pshrecks at range, but either way they are probably screwed. If they would do that, it would probably be elite t34-85s, an elite is2 would be too overpowered. The official forums are the first place that new players think if they lose. Soviets are harder to learn compared to Germans, especially since that Germans are relatively familiar to the coh1 counterpart. Am I saying that Germans are easy, hell no, but experienced players know how to exploit soviets more. People right now are just exploiting overpowered things about the game, which is what the forums members on coh2.org are complaining about. Other then that, ever since Nullist left, it's been much more balanced. Still love you nullist and nullist fanclub. Well on that official forum, well it's chaos, I guarantee Relic don't take them seriously or listen to any of their posts, they only probably listen to the bug's section. They have the private beta for a reason, they listen to experienced players not whiners who are angry. Even though initially, the beta was filled with inexperienced players until they opened up more slots and stefan stopped acting delusional. Thread: Ostheer since new patch14 Jan 2014, 08:30 AM I feel like the maxim spam and shock spam will go away when both guards and shocks are moved to 2 cp, which relic will most likely do. Guards can come before tier 2 is even built. Guards like I said in another thread, can easily kill these tier 2 vehicles. Once that threat is delayed, now maxims will be extremely vulnerable to tier 2 vehicles and the spam will diminish. Currently, Tier 2 vehicles are risky and most of the time not worth investing due to early guards. Once that changes, then the nazis won't have to worry about that annoying maxim spam and don't have to pray to the Rng god of mortars. Shocks come too early, that's the only problem. Now that they are delayed, tier 2 vehicles will be out to eradicate them if the soviet decides to spam them. Which will ultimately make soviet doctrines more situational since if the Nazis went tier 2 vehicles, the soviet will get guards but if the germans got pgrens or lmg grens, then the soviet uses shocks. Well, we both know that he isn't implying that. If the unit hasn't already thrown the molotov, I really mean him throwing the molotov. Then it shouldn't simply work. If he is in the process of throwing it and gets pinned then it should be cancelled. It's like this for every grenade: shocks, guards, agrens, pgrens, stun nades. It's a bug at the momment for molotovs at the momment, I think it's caused by the long duration of the animation. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Guard14 Jan 2014, 08:11 AM For 360 Manpower: You get a unit that can easily kill early Flame-tracks and scout cars, which not only kills the damn vehicles but it saves you fuel, time, and manpower since you don't have to spend fuel and mp on researching At nades. As well you don't have to waste 2-3 at nades killing these vehicles, which roughly can cost around 50-75 munitions, which means more ppsh for your cons or dp28s. Also, if they do manage to kill these vehicles, then they will vet up and are capable to support your vehicles and scale well during late game. Hell I saw Cataclaw, joking around and killing tigers with guards. Yes, not 1 but few tigers with a few vetted guards and 1 Atgun at his base. If he is reading this he probably remembers that dream team blob. If you manage to have 3 guards with the isu and mark target ready. It can kill any vehicle easily even the tiger ace. Just mark it, button it, Isu shoots it, and repeat it with other guards. Yes it costs a lot of munitions but you tend to have a lot of munitions as soviets. They are the reason why people decide to use guard rifle instead of (I forgot what it's called but it has shock, 120mm and ppsh) If there is one thing I can change about guards, it would be that they don't drop their damn weapons every single time. It's ridiculous, that needs to be fixed other then that they are a great unit at the moment. "You give them 1 vet they're good, if you give them 2 veterancy, they're great, and if you give them 3 veterancy, they're unbeatable." In: COH2 Gameplay

Shocks have the same hp as all other infantry except snipers... it is their armor that makes them so resilient to small arms fire but they die to flames, mines, grenades, snipers and explosions just the same. Even nerfing health on tanks is a bad idea. Only thing wrong with heavy tanks is that they unlock too soon which makes not teching such a viable option. Push them back and teching will be important again. The game is in a pretty good state outside of 1 cp guards/shocks and such early heavy tanks. QFT In: COH2 Gameplay

Those were balanced at launch and added variety to the game. Mechanzied assualt was fixed right away. Industry was purely just badly designed and elite troops, well should just be removed from the game. I think vetting your troops was an awful idea in general and the tiger ace was badly designed. They delayed the future commanders because they most likely are going to balance it out. Also stefan haines finally stopped acting like a delusional prick towards people giving feedback (cough cough overwhelming armor). What this game really needs is a map contest. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The tiger ace syndrome13 Jan 2014, 03:37 AM I really don't mind the tiger ace itself, but the fact that they combined that along with the vet system was going to create a broken commander. The thing with the King Tiger was that you received late or extremely late.(especially if you decided to go with V1 strike)The King Tiger was no where as good as the current Tiger Ace. The King Tiger did what 3-4 shot shermans and 2 shotted m10s, while the Tiger ace crushes SU-85s in 2-3 shoots. As well at guns, Upgunned Airborne and Rangers could actually do damage to the King Tiger since it was only good at killing tanks and not infantry. While the Tiger ace can wipe out squads, completely destroy at guns in 2-3 shoots, and is great at killing tanks while the King Tiger was pure AT. The only way to kill the Ace is to pray to the RNG Gods. The King Tiger was balanced, the Tiger ace is pretty damn overpowered especially since it's in the same doctrine with buying vet, g43, and smokes. In: COH2 Balance
