Thread: Conscript range26 Jun 2013, 15:48 PM Close range, normally. Use Oooraah! to close the gap to grenadiers and only fight them on range if you need to buy yourself some time (delay capping, wait for reinforcements). Against Panzergrenadiers, stay away of course. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: CoH2 Day 1 DLC why I think it's "pay to win"25 Jun 2013, 23:12 PM I don't like day one DLC because it feels like it should be part of the game. After all it is accessible from launch. I understand that day one DLC is just content that was made instead of firing teams or putting them on other projects but it still feels like it should be part of the full price product. Side note: There is currently a deal at one key reseller site for a key of the first 4 commanders for 3,99€... doesn't seem to go on for long though and those commanders certainly don't seem to be very strong/required. For other DLC it really depends on the price. I think I will really only be buying single commanders and no skins. I know people who spent a lot of money on LoL skins and while I don't feel the need for skins, they certainly seem to be a great way to get more money for extended support of the game. However, I really fear that they may feel encouraged to only/mostly produce overpowered commander to earn more money... I hope this fear is misplaced. In: COH2 Gameplay

Thread: HTD needs to go25 Jun 2013, 21:28 PM Great information on incendiary rounds and instant building cover anywhere but relying on a veteran ability of a very squishy unit that can be captured and then is a lot more powerful than before (6 men squads) isn't really a solution for the problem. The information and observations relating to building cover and hit the dirt actually suggest that HTD is broken big time (in both its power and the way it work). In: COH2 Balance
Thread: P2P is already starting to piss me off.25 Jun 2013, 21:24 PM I know how it feels not being able to play the game. I started having huge problems in CoH1, other games like RUSE or Wargame and sometimes during beta of CoH2. My connection is very good in other games, very reliable and still I had problems. And guess what? The problem was with my connection all along! It was simply a university/dormitory connection that didn't handle the kind of forwarding needed well. But once that was updated my problems stopped and now I rarely have any problems. So yeah, it can actually be your connection that is at fault here. Maybe try it with another router/modem etc. and check the settings and firmware versions they use. I don't know what exactly our admins changed but now it works fine. In: Lobby
