Like CPU, GPU, ram, etc. Anything overclocked? Done stability tests (even if not OC'd)? When it crashes does it bugsplat? Does it just close? Do you need to close it via task manager? So, it's a hardware/system problem. That at least narrows it down. So I guess the usual questions: Full system specs, is anything overclocked, drivers and stuff up to date, verify game cache, etc. For the nay-sayers: I can only actually remember the game crashing once since I bought it just after release, which was around January of this year. Some days I'll play 10 games and not experience a single freeze, other days I'll get them every other game. Like others have said, let's at least get some basics covered. Namely, does the frame-rate drop during these freezes. That'll let us narrow down the problem a bunch. In: COH2 Bugs
Thread: Mortars/Howies: Nerf autoattack, maybe buff barrage21 Feb 2016, 01:29 AM TBH, I'd basically do this: 1. Fix UKF bug - bugs are bad. 2. Reduce auto-fire RoF by about half. 3. Profit. This gives them at least some use, and doesn't allow for "that landed right op top of X" situations, but makes them weak enough that you can't just 'afk-win' like you can with the mortar pit right now (or even the MHT). Thread: Pls re-introduce the "low visibility" weather conditions20 Feb 2016, 06:57 AM No. As others have said, this makes non-support unit focused and short range focused teams incredibly powerful during the "low vis" time periods. That just happens to be mostly allied teams. The reverse would be adding "heavy rain" which causes the ground to turn to mud, making all units walk very slowly (as if they were in heavy snow), but with no vision penalty. That would make long-range/support teams incredibly powerful. Also, frame-rate. As is, CoH2 doesn't have the best performance, so adding stuff that decreases what performance we do have just isn't in the best interest of the game. That's a big nerf that has nothing to do with the cooldown. The calliope is an arty-support type unit; it shouldn't be rushing into the fight. It's already got far more HP and armor than any other rocket-arty in the game; giving it the ability to essentially self-repair on top of that is just too much (IMO). Also, it was pretty much a required change due to being able to dramatically lower your pop at will... In: COH2 Balance

Good risk vs. reward. Early on, the sandbags could really help LMG grens (or normal grens) vs. other mainline stuff, while later on it would just be a useful ability to have. Voted replace bunker with sandbags; they are grenadiers, not pioneers. In: COH2 Balance

A unit can become OP due to how its supported/used; not necessarily due to its own stats. Sov sniper? Fine Sov scout car? Fine Sov Sniper IN scout car? Never again Look a tommies for example. Pre-AEC buff, they pretty much had to stand alone against constantly vetting LMG-grens/pgrens until a centaur or crom showed up (iirc around ~11min?). That allowed for them to be stronger (those cover bonuses), since they had to actually be able to compete for a very long period of time. In addition, since (in this case, Wehr) didn't need AT out until 11 min, this meant that the tommies had to compete against a larger infantry force. Now, with the exact same bonuses/stats, they only need to last until 6 minutes, at which point the AEC removes all the MGs/snipers/etc. And during those 6 minutes, Wehr pretty much as to tier up, meaning less actual infantry presence. Can we just go back to normal units that work with normal stats? Realistically (IMO) the best choice would be to change them to normal units - no non-cover nerf, no cover bonus; have them work just like grens/rifles/etc. Then we can work on getting them in-line with all the other base line infantry. As for the MG bit (IMO); MG in building should always, ALWAYS beat a single infantry squad; cover or no (ignoring circle-strafing). Sappers [...] only 210 and DPS is like 3 times better than CE or pios [...] give them 2 Brens and you have light Obersoldat unit with reinforce cost of ostruppen [...] vet 3 reworked for sure (reinforce reduction from 26 to 13? srsly Relic?), DPS reduction because they can solo most rifle units Vet should never change unit cost, it's just too gimmicky and rewards stupid play (run in, get vet 3 squad to 1 man, retreat). As for their stats; yea, it's just dumb. 210mp with 13mp reinforce and they can easily 1v1 Pgrens (340/34) given the proper upgrades; just shouldn't be so viable. AEC [...] So this unit must be designed to: be a good AT unit like Puma or be a good anti infantry unit like T-70, it can't be both, it just can't, this units comes at around 5-6 minute, so much faster than other good vehicles Yep. Currently it's just amazing vs. everything, especially for the time it comes at. At MINIMUM it needs to be delayed (with current stats) by around 60-90 seconds (so OST can have a chance of having a PAK out), but it could also use a nerf in either AI or AT (not both). You just can't have a "jack of all trades, master of all, arrives before counters" unit. Command vehicle - I don't know what Relic was thinking to give a FREE RECON FOR 90 SECS AND COOLDOWN FOR 30 SECS and aura boost for nearby units [...] I personally think that recon light must be removed from this ability and it shouldn't be used on Bren carriers. Honestly, I don't see this that much. Either way, free recon is just a bad idea. Not sure what the problem is with it being on a Bren carrier, though. While we're at it, Tactical Support Regiment's "Artillery Cover" needs a pretty big change, too. Right now it's just insanely overpowered. In: COH2 Balance

Can't have no-tech EZ-8s call in spam but STUG-E into Tiger is still alright for some reason. I wish they would just place all call-in tanks in the tech-tree. This is actually a pretty good idea. +1.
