Can't agree here - All German T2 Vehicles can be killed by Guards - using a handheld AT Weapon.
Guards cost 360 mp and are more viable in the situation you are proposing.
Not gone guards? - Then you need to use Conscript with AT Nades and an AT Gun/or small arms fire.
t2 vehicles aren't the only problem though. none of the infantry can hold against german armor, they need heavy weapons to take out tanks. guards are not Anti Tank |
This topic was probably brought up before, but i didn't see it. i made this post to speak in my own reasons why at guns should be cheaper. mainly, it's because the soviet infantry do not posses any reliable hand held at weapon, so their only AT the soviet posses is their at guns. even with vehicles the only other reliable AT weapon they have are the su85 and the very expensive and rare isu 152.
AT guns are currently are so expensive that, many times infantry squads had to be left unused for a while to just get enough mp for a single AT gun to prepare for german t2 vehicles that cost less than 1/3rd the cost of an AT gun mp wise. even when you do get an AT gun you can barely get another.
the soviets also put more of their main strength into their heavy weapons and armor during the war a lot more than the other countries. they produced 2x more artillery than the americans and 3x more than the germans.
SOLUTION:
make soviet AT guns 240 mp, and the german one more effective but with 270 mp. one concern out of this is that the camouflage ability may make them OP since the soviets would be able to posses more at guns, that also needs to change. at least try to apply this change for a while just to experiment if it's a good decision or not.

the petition would serve nothing, but to deny russian people that actually wants to play the game from playing. if the OP argues that this game would be misleading to children into thinking that the soviet people as bad then i doubt that you played the campaign at all.
the game does not portray the soviets as evil, it did not mention any rape or murder of civilians, nor does this game portray germans as heroic at all, i don't know where people get that from, i hate it when people make shit up just to support their cause.
now when you are talking about the first mission, one conscripts complained of being unarmed. there were some soviet soldiers that were unarmed during the battle of stalingrad, but whatever or not they were sent to fight without a rifle is debatable. the russians did have a history of sending soldiers to fight unarmed, notably in world war I, so they may have done the same during world war II since the soviets suffered heavy losses before stalingrad and had logistical problems in a very desperate situation.
you probably didn't also see the soviets having the option to rescue trapped soldiers and civilians in a building, with shock troops that can slaughter massive amounts german troops, it didn't matter when conscripts were running into their deaths into the meat grinder because it shows that it was a slaughter for both sides.
the russian mg shooting down conscripts in that one scene was questionable but it was how relic really thought what the soviets did in stalingrad, there is no propaganda or anti soviet agenda. relic genuinely thought that happened. it may have happened since the soviet conscripts did need some persuasion since there were poorly trained soldiers that are sent to a meat grinder were soviet regiments get wiped out every day in the battle. i think relic made that scene so we could feel dramatic about the scene.
the scene where soviet soldiers killed that one surrendering german was also to make things more dramatic, but it also portray how eastern front was like since both sides did tend to kill surrendering troops pretty often. even though same things also happen in the west and the far east none of which matches body count of executed POWs of the eastern front. it also shows german troops killing POWs as well. in one of the missions where you try to rescue a bunch of soviet POWs from german hands you will always be too late as the german soldiers will kill them anyways.
after that mission there is nothing else that makes the soviet look bad. except that one instance where the officer killed the conscript that heroically went to save his commander despite all odds, even risking getting killed by the officer that they knew was an asshole. it only shows that the officer was a cunt because he shot the conscript just because he disobeyed orders.
if you see a scene where a soviet officer kills a women. she was a polish partisan and i think that scene was pretty accurate, because the soviets were dicks to polish partisans. the officer also justifies his actions to the main character which sounds reasonable. if polish resists against germans what's going to stop them from resisting soviets occupation?
there is nothing in this game demonizing the soviets, it just shows that soviet conscripts were fighting heroically under extremely harsh conditions and they fought even when they were sometimes outgunned, and also fought in murderous winter and that they sometimes had asshole commanders. |
wow, what a disappointing update.
now we have more longer strafing run duration and bigger attack distance. which makes things even more inconvenient despite the fact that it comes less often.
not the kind of nerf i was looking for opel trucks.
now all these heavy splash damage units like brummbar and is2 are more accurate? well, good by infantry.
they made the panzer iv less accurate... not the kind of change it needs still....
almost 3 weeks and these are the changes we get, disappointing but i hope more are to come soon!

this morning when i woke up i went back to sleep...... for 3 hours. what does that have to do with the game? nothing.
this is just wishful thinking on the balance, and i hope relic my ideas into consideration.
INFANTRY
ostheer infantry:
mg squads 3 man ( it needs to feel endangered when flanked because it is a very effective weapon i don't feel so endangered when my mg is flanked. )
ostruppen should be called out of t1 building ( they should also have the same stats as a conscript squad, just different abilities like panzerfaust and riflenade )
grenadier squads should be able to be equiped with panzer shrecks ( and still come out of t1, the ability is to be unlocked when the player upgrades to t2. )
grenadiers should also be able to build sandbags.
remove mg bunkers ( they are too cheap solutions to locking down an area. the squad should not be killed when bunker is destroyed. )
sandbags should be destroyed when vehicles such as halftracks run over them ( my halftrack refuse to drive over sandbags for some reason. )
PAK 40 should cost 270 mp and have a faster reload time than the Zis gun ( faster travel would work. )
panzershrecks should cost 80 munitions does 120 damage, and have a reload time of 6 seconds accuracy should be low against light vehicles but good against tanks (remember how horrible the accuracy was in vcoh? )
soviet infantry:
conscript squads should not pay for their abilities (it mirrors the american faction to much and it's a bad decision to make for soviets)
conscripts should have snow in their pants.
engineers should cost 200 mp
shock troopers should cost 400 mp and reinforcement cost ( cost the same as rangers don't they. )
guards should not drop their weapon so easily ( vasily dropped his weapon again. that klutz. )
hit the dirt ( yes yes, nerf nerf, we all said it. )
soviet snipers should be one man and should not have sprint ability.
soviet at guns should cost 240 mp. ( since the soviets is dependent on their heavy weapons because they have no recoiless rifles like the ostheer troops, they should be more easily spammable. this also makes the game more authentic, the soviets made 3x more guns than the germans during the war after all. )
it will be so epic having a soviet pak front! ( it's no wonder why they didn't need american bazookas. )
TANKS
ostheer tanks:
stug should have more range of 60 and 550 hp.
panzer IV should cost 320 mp and 125 fuel. the damaged should be reduced to 135, but fire rate increased to be the same as t34. penetration at 120.
panther range needs to be increased to 60.
tiger tank armor should be increased to 400 front and 225 rear. range should be increased to 50. cost 560 mp and 260 fuel.
soviet tanks:
t70 needs accuracy reduction ( but should it still be able to run over infantry? i don't know but it shoots incredibly fast)
t34 should do 110 damage cost reduction to 240 mp and 85 fuel. ram ability should be nerfed. ( ramming is his only purpose in life, his family and generals trained him many years for that one moment and that's all he could do, he cannot write or read just ram )
su85s armor needs to be reduced to 160 ( they can retreat just as fast than panzer IVs advance, of course front armor needs to be nerfed. don't argue with me! learn to use your su85s! )
is2s armor needs to be increased to 400 front and 200 rear. range should be increased to 50. fire rate should be slow at 9 seconds. cost reduced to 580 mp 270 fuel.
ABILITIES
opel blitz should be nerfed, it currently grabs +3 munitions and +2 a couple of times per minute, it needs to grab the same amount per minute. the soviets should have some kind of equivalent.
strafing run ( every ones talking about it. however, i think it should be run one only )
marked target should not give other tanks damage boost.

you don't have to be a great player to voice opinions, just have to be reasonable.
i completely forgot about strafes and hit the dirt, but then they have been talked about so much and relic did say they are going to fix it, so i didn't need to anyways. i asked for speed decrease because it shoots twice as fast as the soviet mortar which kind of imbalance things between them, still with my suggestion the german mortar still shoots a little faster than the soviet counter part.
your sniper suggestion is alright, i don't really know the chances are of snipers sniping units out of buildings though.
i don't think the suggestion i made should give the t70 cost reduction, i only asked for less accuracy.
i don't think t34s are a good buy two t34s can still have trouble taking out a panzer IV unless one rams it. a t34 is around half as effective as a panzer IV for 80 pct of the cost.
guards squads are not meant to take out tanks really... i think what really makes them is their OP buttoning ability which buttoning and at combo shreds tanks.
i think giving stugs more range would give them some chance against su85s, there hp is less than the hp of any other medium tank anyways. with my suggestions a t34 would take out a stug pretty easily when flanking so i stand with my stug range buff. |
i just remembered something, medium tanks have 640 hp not 600. changing suggestions to panzer IVs should do 135 damage while t34s do 110. |
