If one is still charging money for a game with a declared feature list one has to at least fix basic functionality problems otherwise it kinda borders on false advertising. It does not matter how many people actually buy the game. Either fix the problems with the features declared, change the feature list (which some may see as a dirty tactic), give away the game for free or deal with the money back policy and reputation hit.
On a more softer approach, CoH is the highest rated RTS game of all time with a lot behind its name. If you need more money to fix it, spin an HD re-release and market it properly.
About online player stats, as someone already mentioned, there is a negative feedback loop for vCoH. The fact that online game breaks in several places probably has an effect on active player base. |
Yeah, that jeep windshield and sideskirts falling off of tanks were great. I also liked the way wehr bikes exploded. With side cart section separated and MG guy still stuck in it then doing a 180 spin and catching on fire. That was pretty awesome. |

I haven't been playing for about 6 month and tried a couple of automatches today. I've played 4 games and in one of the 2v2s i was having a terrible input lag, about 3 seconds delay. I haven't had the issue in any other games through. Is this normal?
Otherwise game works great for me, loving the new features as well. |
I dismissed the Russians bashing and even blacklisting CoH2 as simple idiocy, I mean, anyone playing CoH for any time knows that it had great storylines, and good historical accuracy, and no real mention of crimes for either side, but of gameplay and BATTLE history. but then after actually starting single player for CoH2, seeing clips of it, and knowing more about history than relic apparently, I understand fully their concerns and outrage, and the last 10 threads or whatever that got locked are full of ignorance.
That's kinda funny, since a lot of people who dismissed those complaints did so saying that the guy complaining has never even played the game. |

Probably a stupid question, but still. Grenadier rifle near cool down 0.5 to 0.3 means grens will shoot faster at near distance? Are they gonna shoot faster by exactly that modifier, i.e. 40% faster or are there any other variables in equation besides cool down? |

As to the Barrage ability, and its "dozen similar options to pick from", Ost aint got nothing but Mortar.
I am not trying to compare two AT guns or two AT capabilities. I haven't played ostheer enough to know how they fare in that department. These are only my experiences from playing Soviets VS german armor without relying on fuel. If Ostheer faces similar problems it doesn't mean that if both AT guns suck than its somehow balanced. |
As to the PIVs historical front armor, as of 1942-1943, 50% where fitted with an extra 30mm frontal armor, from 50 to 80mm. Hilter himself demanded them all with 80mm frontal armor as of Jan 1943.
But yeah, PTRS was a pretty serious piece of AT, if you hit in the right place.
