For me, it's more of a reminder that the politics of the war can never be fully severed from the conflict, even for a video game. (And I think CoH2 more actively avoids historical accuracy for that same reason.) I think it's just one of those aspects of WW2 games that is never an easy fit for everyone. I mean, I know depictions of the hakenkreuz are restricted in Germany, for instance. Although I'm not actually sure how runic symbols and SS symbols are addressed. In: Modding and Tools

Coming from someone who works for a regulatory agency in government, that's pretty much how enforcement of law is usually handled. Assholes get punished. Relic is actually directly applying the files of the WBP to the game, and we're in the process of testing the beta build of the game. Once beta-testing is complete, the patch will be released. Been trying to get a clear statement on this all winter. Since the internal thing that Relic uses to apply changes to the game differs somewhat from the attribute editor, all changes need to be thoroughly double-checked. Moreover, due to a combination of Relic not working on weekends and the terrible track record of Steam at delivering updates reliably, the WBP will have to be released at some point early during the week. That way, if we get Stuart bug v2.0, we will be able to respond to it and fix it. The community has to choose between one of the following: - Getting the WBP now (with potential untested game-breaking bugs) - Letting us do our job testing the patch, and then, release it when it's ready Uh huh. Thread: SBP release date?15 Mar 2017, 13:43 PM Correct me if I'm wrong, but... WBP is just the template for testing things that Relic will take into account for the next patch that they release. WBP isn't being implemented, it's just the test drive vehicle. Relic will/is building the actual next patch which will hit whenever they feel like it is done. "Winter" was the time allotment for the community patch to be made and tested. In: COH2 Gameplay

Churchill could spew a sort of CoH1 style smoke that could be a LOS shocker, but still provide RA bonuses. (Does anyone ever account for the .9 RA multiplier for infantry that are in cover?) Rushing just for incendiary nades means always going medic truck. This gives a soviet maxim spammer pretty good reliability that their t70 will be unchallenged by Pumas and that their maxims won't be overrun by Luchs. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Volksgrenadiers & Obersoldaten10 Mar 2017, 02:01 AM Obersoldaten's ability to move and fire with LMGs is often overlooked. I mean, I forget about it all the time. But it has a huge implication for their ability to maneuver. For me, Obers being entirely helpless against vehicles has been their greatest weakness. In: COH2 Balance
