The same percent bonus on two different unit will have different effect because the raw bonus will be different. 10 x 1.3 is different from 8 x 1.3. I am saying the bar needs to be cheaper before any buff to the rifleman itself. I mean the rifleman already have near identical multiplicative bonus as the grenadier. A green rifleman will walk over a green grenadier easily. The rifleman only fall behind because the bar is inferior to the lmg42. As I said before the gren and rifleman get the same multiplicative bonus, but the gren bonus is applied to the powerful lmg42 compared to the rather weak BAR. In: COH2 Balance

In addition the rifleman also get a substantial buff to all of his grenade abilities as well. in any case, there's more to infantry scaling than simply his veterancy bonus. The panzergrenadier have superior direct combat bonus than the grenadier or the rifleman but even then the panzergrenadier is generally accepted as overpriced. The grenadier is one of the most feared infantry and its veterancy bonus is not nothing special. What really make them fearsome is the lmg42. Weapon upgrade is more important in regard to infantry scaling and I believe the bar is inferior to the lmg42 in this respect. In: COH2 Balance

I will agree that 120 mu for two bars are way too expensive, but I think the rifleman is fine without needing the veterancy buff. The problem is more that the bars are severely overpriced for what they do. In: COH2 Balance

Grenadiers were only as scary as they were because of lmg and long range rifle grenade. 280 mp with dual bar were pretty powerful if excessive on munition price. the mobility buff on the bar doesn't seems all that useful. I would have prefer a price decrease on the bar instead of messing with the veterancy. From a scaling standpoint it's easier to recover a dual bar rifleman if you have the munition, but veterancy is harder to gain. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panther is overperforming?4 Sep 2015, 08:47 AM Jump back to quoted post4 Sep 2015, 08:15 AMNabarxos my opinion on the Panther is this,its a medium tank thats very fast,with high armor,turreted gun with very good AT power but not so good AI and it also has 3 machine guns to deal damage to infantry(soviets dont notice it but the americans do) the panther vs the soviets is mostly ok BUT the americans have huge problems with it,they cant flank it cause its impossible duo to the panthers speed and turret rotation,their main at gun with ap shells doesnt penetrate the panther so you cant treaten it with AT guns with the usf,Bazookas cant penetrate nor damage if they do penetrate so you cant use infantry(something the panther cant deal well if their durable)to destroy it or push it back to protect your tanks from it(like the panzershreack does to allied tanks),your only options is the Jackson a tank destroyer that must always attack with max range so it wont get destroyered in seconds by anything that has AT in its name. Duo to this the panther is pretty powerful against the usf we can try and buff the at performance of the at gun and the bazookas to stop it but we also need to change something in the panther that will make it weak to flanks. the panther had one weakness in real life and it also had it in vCOH,its side armor,as the USF you used speed in vCOH with your tanks or tank destroyers to deal with the panther if you wished but in COH2 side armor doesnt exist but only rear and frontal armor but what we could try is this,decrease the frontal armor size(it should take 25-30% of the module you see)and increase the rear size part(70-75%) this will make most of the side part of the panther weak which in turn the USF will exploit with their fast tanks. anyways the panthers is only OP against the USF,the soviets dont have alot of problems with it USF is just weak in general. Why is Relic stealth nerfing virtually a very large number of of explosive weapons? because people were always complaining about explosive instant wiping squad? the formation change and weaker aoe make it easier to preserve squad.
