And why on the earth you think AVRE is better than ST? It has 35 range(-5 to ST), less dmg & AOE, and still suffers from mislanding shor(that has been fixed for ST recently)
It has better AOE actually, so 'death radius' for infantry is actually larger then ST's by ~10ish % |
I don't believe that PTRS are able to miss vehicles at all... except perhaps a max range Kubelwagen?
it will undershoot quite often if vehicle is beyond weapon's range (e.g. 40) and penal ptrs' does not seem to overshoot at all.
they dont even need 0,2 sec to after running to shot over 45 range (more than other at handheld) and will hit mostly everytime
was talking about this type of allegations.

it was a dumb/ ally biased idea to give ptrs penals no aim time.
they dont even need 0,2 sec to after running to shot over 45 range (more than other at handheld) and will hit mostly everytime
I don't think ptrs penals overshoot. At least have not seen a single overshot with a penal squad, while could with Guards, but it was definitely not 'hit mostly everytime' type of situation. And the amount of damage and penetration ptrs has at far range is hardly enough to be a problem. Zooks and shreks weren't a problem, then why ptrs' are? |
Even if ptrs penals are on par with DPS compared to other AT infantry, it still lacks burst damage that shrecks and zooks have. Even with more consistent damage vs light vehicles (they are quite accurate), they still are not threatening. They can be very useful during dives, because of satchel, but that's all.
Personally I use PTRS only with Guards. Penals is too good of a combat unit to give it such weapon as PTRS for reasons listed above. If they had zooks or shreks, that would have been another story. |
M24 Chaffee of the 81st Reconnaissance Squadron, 1st Armored Division passes through ruins of Vergato (Bologna, Italy) on 14 april 1945
Ok, IMO in terms of PvP, they can add whatever. In terms of 1943 campaign, that lasted few months at best, adding late war units and armament with sprinkle of prototypes is debatable. Just few cents. |

ok, my bad |
And it was also used in Italy.
no offence, but please provide proofs of that. AFAIK Italy campaign ended with complete withdrawal of German forces in October 1943, while first Chaffee tanks were shipped a year later. Yes it is a real tank, but still it does not fit particular timeframe, which I'm completely OK with that.
Personally I'd rather see Comet then Black Prince, but if Relic thinks that it fits the faction, then be it. |
If they are so proud in announcing a new theatre of war, they should only include units from that theatre. Black Prince and Königstiger don't belong there.
Chaffee was produced 1944-1945. So it does not fit as well.
If Relic thinks that there is a place for Black Prince, then be it, Although I liked vanilla Churchill more. Black Price feels like a slow panther. |
Kind of understand that it can be outspotted vs SU85, but FF?? Are you leaving it on the frontline without any support? What about supporting units with a scope upgrade or vetted 222? |
Unironically the best counter to any blob is Maxim due to its enormous AOE suppression. Yes it takes a little longer to suppress, but when it does, its a dead blob with a single Katyusha barrage.
Mg42 suppresses much faster, because a) it has twice the amount of suppression per bullet b) it deals ~1.4x more AOE suppression and c) it fires 3%/25%/100% faster then maxim (too convoluted with different burst durations and cooldowns). It does not matter how much accuracy and how big AOE radius Maxim has, if the difference between suppression amounts is that high. Perhaps with sustained fire, but that's another story. |
