Firstly, what AchtAchter said was not disagreeing with you. He was pointing out holes in my argument which WAS disagreeing with you. Secondly, OKW has no non-doctrinal snare either. Why aren't you calling for them to get one too? If you want balance, you should. So should OKW have one too in your opinion or should only UKF get one? Before you say it - Shrek isn't a snare. By the time any serious vehicle comes out, there is ample time to tech to an AT gun. To answer your points: Shreks cannot rip it apart if it is braced. Shreks have to get to it to rip it apart, it can be a long way away and protected by MG / enemy army. Ost MG bunker cannot brace Ost MG bunker is not useful behind shot blockers Ost MG bunker is not long range and can easily be avoided In: COH2 Balance
Thread: British mortar29 Nov 2015, 21:11 PM Two mortars, long range, resistant to light arms, auto-fire and the Shield of Invincibility. I think it has too many advantages. I don't think it's game-breaking but I do think Brace structure needs to go. PS - Please bear in mind that any buffs that you feel the Brits need or any weaknesses they have are not relevant here. Imagine the Brits were balanced well and that after that this decision was to be made. In: COH2 Balance

While they gain early advantage, the smile soon fade off as late game hits. This topic is focus on USF and Soviet late game. Clearly, there is a way to make them better than just spamming T34 76 and sherman with 75mm gun. My proposal for USF Add an upgrade at major building, this upgrade is called "Refit War Machine" and requires major, captain and lieutenant to upgrade. The upgrade cost 200mp 60 fuel and is USF late tech. Refit War Machine will allow USF to access to 3 new units: M36 Jackson, M7 Priest and Sherman Jumbo(or just M4A3 76mm if Relic cannot make new unit) At major tech, replace M36 with M10 Wolverine. Replace doctrinal Priest with upcoming Sherman Calliope. Replace doctrinal M10 with M26 Pershing. My proposal for Soviet Move T34 76 to tier 3 Move T34 85 to tier 4 Move T70 to doctrine, replace T34 85 with proper CP (4CP) Add an upgrade to Soviet tier 3, cost 180mp and 60 fuel to access KV1. But then they'd have early game advantage and late-game strength. Sounds Overpowered. If the early game was made more even I'd be glad to see some more powerful late game stock units. Thread: Elite Troops Doctrine: Replacing Tiger Ace with King Tiger27 Nov 2015, 17:59 PM Interesting idea. You're right that the Tiger Ace is a tricky unit to balance. I don't find the KT so strong, especially vs kited sniper tanks like US TD and Firefly. You're suggesting giving a weaker version that comes only at 15CP. While the KT is a very powerful unit it has big drawbacks. The huge cost in time and resources is hard to recoup with a KT, considering that there are counters already on the field when it arrives and it can be played around. Plus you have to dedicate a fair amount of your army to support it leaving you stuck around your lump of resources. You've also probably lost some map control while you were building up 720 MP and 260 fuel, which could have been spent on other units. As such I think your proposal to remove a useful unit and replace it with a more expensive, less useful one would create another rarely used commander. This isn't to say Elite Troops doesn't need changing. Just that this change seems inappropriate. inb4 inexplicable "no, copying units between factions is evil and must neva eva happen" In: COH2 Gameplay
