tbh i wouldnt mind seeing them have 6 men but with no retreat. |
Regardless of target size Hezter gets hit by many more collision than T-70 because it is case mate and has to face enemy units.
There is nothing wrong the target size of the unit or the target size of the T-70.
I am not saying anything is wrong with the target size of t70. i am just saying hetzer has been enjoying low target size for no reason. it should be brought to the same level to jadpanzer, both being casemate and similar body. |
The old hetzer in coh1 was also hard to hit!
in coh1 tiger was an end game tank too. Does this mean we get that same stuff and mechanics in coh2 as well? i simply asked for an explanation for such low target size, which I am thinking there's none. |
Yea. I just dont have a strong opinion on it. Size is small, but it is built on a light tank. Its just a casemate light tank, basically a brick of steel.
but this game isn't built on reality. target size should be increased to reflect some standardization across all vehicles of this type. like I said if it is a light tank then t70 has target size of 18. |
Well, ISU152 is even more expensive than Elefant and Elefant comes in a faction which has Ostwind, Brummbar and Panzerwerfer stock so I don't think any extra AI is needed. Meanwhile SOV stock lategame AI comes primarily from T34 and Katy.
Both doctrines are extremely good, but I would not underestimate the power of Recon Plane and Stuka Bombing being in the same doctrine as Elefant. One of the SOV ways to deal with Ele if you don't want to ram and IL2 bomb it, is to constantly displace it with ML20 barrage, as the Elefant is so big it gets hit often and you just can't stay there and repair under barrage. This counter is completely negated by the Recon+Stuka combo, unless your opponent is Brit/USF and they go Sexton/Priest, but those are the only 2 doctrines western allies have that counter the Elefant.
Additionaly someone mentioned Spotting Scopes being nerfed, they were nerfed indeed, which is good, however this only means that you can't self spot and move at the same time. Meanwhile you can still just park 222 next to Elefant and give it 90 vision once your 222 shoots enough planes to get to vet2.
IF not for ISU's HE shell, nobody would build this unit. I only use it for AT sometimes just to vet it faster to vet2 at which it gets extra reload speed.
spot on. |
Yep, its size 15. It is pretty small. Shows up late, has only 180 armor and 640 HP as a flame tank. Generally, the problem is no one expects the Hetzer. It's on a single REALLY broadcasty build, so just spot and be ready.
idk about you but okw can really rush shwere HQ, you know?
and this is not a valid reason for this little target size. all the medums show up late by your definition then
even jadpanzer has more target size then this. |
Hi, can someone explain to me why the target size of flammen panzer is set as 15? while t70 is at 18? if this is true it explains why this is so much harder to kill then say a kv8, while having less armor. Can we please have standardized target sizes?
I looked up at coh2db.com for stats. I know its outdated, so please correct me if I am wrong |
1. Airborne guards are doing that lmg t-pose and sometimes few of the squad members don't shoot
2. I have lost abilities on grenadiers and katyusha on line forest. And for some reason clicking an empty building didn't bring back the abilities on Katy unless I clicked the center big building alongside the railway tracks. what if that building has been blown then?
I tried this with grenadiers. it didn't work as the center building was gone and I had to ultimately lose that squad |
i think he is just trolling by now. time to stop wasting time on this thread. |
The fact that ISU is meta in team games should say something. While it counters AT guns, it counters infantry as well. Same with ele+scope. Just stand near VP watch your flanks and win games. I've seen enough games where units like this single-handedly carried games, not meantioning the diversity of good abilities that doctrines with such assault guns have.
Just take a look at KV-2. The docs which have it are pretty one sided and lack diverse measures. But for some reasons docs with Ele and ISU are op af.
I think either docs, or unit themselves need to be nerfed, or reworked. ISU doctrines needs to let go of bombing strike, maybe AOE tweaked a bit to decrease wiping potential and remove a possibility of scope upgrade on elephant.
How about they also take stuka bombing and recon from elephant doctrine? Should make it fair. |
