Just hull down a panther and have an ostwind for support. The only thing to be worried about is an il2 bomb strike and howitzers. wait does the panther have the same range as the stug? Thread: StuG IIIE26 Sep 2013, 03:36 AM What do you guys think of this unit? I personally find it pretty underwhelming. I've tried massing them along with some some stug Gs thrown in to simulate the coh1 stug spam but even when massed they don't do a very good job. The damage they do to infantry seems the exact same as the stug IIIg. I think it should come out a little earlier at 2cp. Why make 2 or 3 of these when 1 ostwind can do a much better job? ostwinds even come out earlier than this little thing. In: COH2 Balance

For the time being, no changes are planned that will modify the performance of the StuG vs. the SU-85; at least in a direct manner. The SU-85 is designed to be better than the StuG in terms of AT, given it has a higher cost and higher AT allocation. A SU-85 requires 3 shots to kill a StuG unless it is vet 2. A StuG requires 4 shots to kill an SU-85. Also keep in mind target weak point is a guaranteed penetration, meaning a vet 1 StuG can still be relevant vs. heavier armor. Yeah but those shots aren't going to matter if the su85 outranges it. It's the combo of longer range and fast reverse speed that completely shuts down the stug. I really think it needs its range back to 60 if its going to have any chance against those. In: Lobby

Thread: Weekend Challenge #2 - Penal Battalion10 Aug 2013, 20:34 PM Their svts actually do some decent damage against scout cars - they take them down faster than conscripts can with their mosin-nagants. It's a nice early game unit to screen your sniper+clown car. Plus their satchel charges wreck mgs in the open, in heavy cover, and in buildings. EDIT: especially the building part. waay more reliable than snipers when it comes to clearing those out. In: COH2 Gameplay
