What do you guys think of this unit? I personally find it pretty underwhelming. I've tried massing them along with some some stug Gs thrown in to simulate the coh1 stug spam but even when massed they don't do a very good job. The damage they do to infantry seems the exact same as the stug IIIg. I think it should come out a little earlier at 2cp.

Why make 2 or 3 of these when 1 ostwind can do a much better job? ostwinds even come out earlier than this little thing.

they are good vs inf but you have assgrens in the same commander so that should be covered. they just delay the P4

It's weak and t70s can circle strafe it...i was expecting a low class brumbar(sp). Very underwhelming indeed!

delay the p4? you can get a p4 waaayyy before this thing becomes availible.

It's tricky because 3 cp does seem a little late, but 2 cp can come out when you would usually just be getting t2 which is definitely early.

I think 3 cp is fine just to air on the side of safety.

it needs to be inbetween what it is now and a StuH42 from vcoh. right now it is underwhelming to say the least.

i think u mean the third :)

maybe these things work well if you have a sort of damage sponge to take the hits? like assault grenadiers + panther/tiger up front with a blob of these behind them? gonna give it a try

yeah i just don't get this thing... if you need an anti-infantry tank the ostwind does such a better job. maybe if it had more health/armor??

god i really like this thing and i'm trying a buncha unit combos to make this work but every time i make one (or 3) i sit here wishing i had an ostwind instead. it has the same anti-infantry effectiveness as a stug g.

*maybe let the gun do some suppression?

oh and it's vet 1 ability doesn't work on tanks. it just bounces off and wastes 30 munitions.

i think the unit should be retweaked to do some suppression to infantry (when there's enough of them shooting) and have like a 20% chance to stun enemy tank crews

It's really strong atm, no idea what you are expecting from such a cheap unit in first place, but it comes relatively early in the game and offers pretty good anti-infantry capabilites. On top of that it is able to soak up some damage (especially from infantry anti-tank weapons). You obviously don't build it when your opponent goes for a more vehicle-orianted strategy.

To use it to max effectiveness you go for a infantry-heavy strategy and get that StuG when your opponent is still investing in anti-infantry units.

Agree with Trainzz. I have no idea what you guys expect for a unit that needs no tier building, comes fast, and is what... 50/ 55 fuel? (cannot remember). it's pretty good for when it hits the field and what it does.

Ugh, it's a great unit for its cost. You do realize that you spend zero on teching and building infrastructure for this unit. And it's cheap as nuts.

It's adequate vs infantry and good vs light vehicles. It can even kill an engine damaged T70 far more reliably than a Pak40.

I can't even look them up myself because the patch seems to have broken the modding tools... would really like to compare it to the Su-76, they could fill comparable roles.

so why would you ever get this over an ostwind?

and did you say early? by the time i get to my second or 3rd tank this thing becomes available.
