Cheers mate, no idea who HellFox83 is though. But I casted with every man and their dog back around 2010. Best casters I ever worked with were Cadmus, Tommy, and FatalSaint. But HellFox? Nah I am drawing a blank mate.

Jup, vCoH UI was better in some ways. Though, CoH2 did a good job with the unit icons at the top right! Also it was useful that you could see the AI/AT stats so you did not have to double check the units weapons to see if it has a zook/shrek etc that it picked up.

I'm no OKW player by any means, but I'm pretty sure I can give you some hints.

1. two schwimmwagens is questionable, you don't need a second one, imo. Also, you lost one of them early on, setting you behind in th early game. (luckily your opponent lost a cons squad as well..)

2. You only got one Volks squad. This is simply not enough. Get at least two, better are 3 I guess. Leave out the second schwimm. You need Volks with shreks later on as your meat shield and main infantry.

3. Lost your second Schwimm. That leaves you with very little capping power (1 volks + 1 sturmpio is not enough!)

4. The non-existend meat shield (3 volks e.g.) shows in mid game, where you have nothing that could scout for your Flak HT. It had 2 kills after being on the field for 4 minutes, that is horrible. You got to use it more aggressive AND always in conjunction with other units. Otherwise it will get flanked and killed.

(All in all, you have to use your units together more often, you often send out lone units that have to retreat once they face a superior enemy force. Your enemy then caps/recaps the territory while you cannot fight him because your always have 1 or 2 units in base)

5. You had no high fuel point for almost all the midgame, even though it was rather easy for you to take (the western one). You got to remember that controlling one fuel point is a pretty important aspect of the game, otherwise your opponent outtechs you heavily.

6. It was rather pointless to keep watching from the point onwards when he got his IS-2. He was floating insane amounts of ressources and could have built anything he wanted.

For the time until his IS-2 hit the field, I can only recommend you to keep your priorities in mind (don't let your opponent have both fuel points!) and use your units in conjunction with each other to break through defenses. You might have wanted to get an ISG to break through, but that was not really necessary tbh.

For good build orders you should watch high level OKW player or visit the Guide Section for OKW. You will probably find more well-rounded strategies. Also, watching replays (or streams) in general could give you some hints as of what to do at what time.

The british faction is neither UP nor OP, it is just really stupidly designed, imo.


- You have a decent early game with IS that gain bonuses in cover (wtf? why promote defensive
play?..)
and bren that is ok (until flamethrower upgrade you can almost ignore it, though, after that it is
just retarded)
- You have a horrible mid game, and with horrible I mean a non-existent one. Not a single unit that
is
having some kind of shock value in that phase of the game.
You can get:
- at guns against tanks (just a defensive measure mainly
- engineers who are basically only a liability to get because of their really bad fighting power
(you need them for mines and to repair though)
- emplacements which are just for stalling out a game and holding a part of the map (again.. wtf
relic?)
- sniper, who is the only really useful unit in the whole brit midgame. Kinda worse than the OH
counterpart, but in general a good unit, just that the Brits lack the midgame to really compensate
on it
- the AEC(?) light vehicle, which is ok for its price, just that it delays the strong phase of the
Brits, by another 85 fuel

and that is basically it for the mid game.

Late game you are suddenly strong again, because you get units that are simply overperforming (churchill croc, maybe comet, commandos, Avre) and doctrinal stuff which is highly unhealthy for game play (these large aoe off map arty strikes )

All in all I think this factions needs a small buff to its early game, so that you can actually gain a lead early on, if you play it right. Then a pretty decent buff to mid game (maybe by making upgrades cheaper) so that you can actually do something in mid game other than defending until you get to late game. And then there are a lot of late game units that need to be toned down a looooooooot.


Also, why on earth do you need to have such high fuel and manpower costs on some units? All that does is promote even more defensive play so that you keep one fuel point and don't bleed too much manpower, becuase otherwise you cannot get the important units out.
