wipe potential is only high if you play gardening and stay still with your weapon teams.
try move around, reposition immediately when spotted, play more mobile. dont be another lazy axis player stalling for OP heavies while bunker spamming.
*cries as a pack howie shell scatters and hits your moving squad dead center* |
I am not biased towards anything. I like OKW, I like USF, I'm ok with UKF, I hate Soviets, I'm ok with OST... and I will say this, Axis players complain more about every unit the allies have. Allies usually complain about heavy tanks and tanks in general but Axis players are asking for nerfs to pretty much every single unit USF has.
Let's see major complains:
1) Pack How.: Slow movement, has to be properly positioned, good AOE and damage, behind Captain tech. How to counter? Flank/don't camp/mortar/any light veichle
My dude I mostly play allies. It doesn't take someone who exclusively plays axis like Vipper to realize that there are certain things an allied faction has that are kinda broken and extremely unfun to play against. Good aoe and damage is an understatement to say the least. You can watch a pack howie in real time just nail 2-4 models a shot on auto fire. |
Not really they still have access to grenades and vehicles from LT (which is currently a far better choice than captain). They also have a number of doctrinal options.
If something Ostheer have trouble vs USF and there is little reason to buff Ostheer.
Moving to captain ( not require second tech) is neither that late or expensive to get access to.
My point is that USF went from having limited access to indirect fire to have more than they need so some of these units with either be OP or UP due to overlap.
There is simply not reason for mortar/howitzer/Scott/Major barrage all to be available stock and with little side tech.
Ah yes the unironic "smoke and flank" arguement. That thing they figured out wasnt really viable if the ost player builds 2 mg 42s. Oh but wont someone please think or the poor ost players! if only they had access to some form of indirect to deal with a short range mortar. Oh wait. As of right now the USF has two problem units: the pack howie and Jackson. Other than that, If it ain't broke, dont fix it. |
Kill that sucker! Imagine the complaints if the ISG had such wiping potential without even clicking Oh wait....I don't have to imagine, it happened heh.
Leigs have a tendency to nail individual models, they're appropriate for their cost. Until someone builds 2 and you cry as you watch your squads get double tapped |
I mean, its no secret that its kinda gross. While its fun to use, I feel like a bad person using it, and watching a shell erase a squad having the audacity to stand in cover. IMO it should just have its AOE nerfed, and get its 6th man back. |
Absolutely it wouldn't kill a panther either.
I stand corrected lmao. I guess I haven't been seeing or using it to it's full completely broken potential. |
Yeah, as many have already said, the problem isnt with ram, using a 90 fuel tank as a glorified snare is expensive as shit, and very often ends very badly. It's a problem of the IL2 rocketstrafe which definitely needs a nerd imo. But even then, the ol ram and rocket, unless every rocket lands, isnt enough to fully kill a panther or tiger let alone OKW heavy. |
nah |
my understanding was that the decrew threat was fully removed a while ago when they rebalanced the doctrine. |
1. Rifle snares available to vet 0 rifles at T4
2. Jackson receiving speed nerf
3. Heavy tanks across the board receiving AOE an speed nerfs
4. Heavy TDs having range reduced by 5
5. Conscript reinforce buff removed
6. Maxim suppression buff
7. m20 mine and Teller mine reduced in cost and power so that they dont 1HKO light tanks
8. Pack howie has better accuracy but worse AOE
9. Raketen loses retreat
