The Osttruppen just hold you over and let you cap until you get super early Panzergrens. A unit that outperforms Rfilemen, is basically immune to Infantry Sections, and is only really effectively countered by Penals based on their timing. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Does anyone else think it's a problem Panzer IVs...13 Dec 2020, 18:27 PM As OST I rarely have issues with Allied LVs because of AT guns and the really early Panzergrens. The Panzergrens also offset the Allied infantry advantage as well with the exception of Penals. So when the P4 rolls out it stomps what's left of my opponent. As for OKW, that P4 takes longer but it has an even greater impact. Teching for OKW moves much faster though, they get that Heavy panzer HQ up in no time. So you may roll out a Sherman or Cromwell a minute or two sooner but those are hopelessly out classed. The P4J is best multirole tank and kills infantry and armor very well, you don't even have to switch shells. In: COH2 Balance

I've seen I don't know how many games between pros and casual players alike where they're trying to fight off a Panzer IV (usually supported by Schreks or AT guns) with a Sherman, Stuart or just a couple bazookas. Teching costs for British or Soviets isn't quite as excessive as what USF has to pay but even then their mediums aren't great. In: COH2 Balance

Grenadiers should be made more attractive. Ostruppen should feel optional not mandatory to get by the early game. I would propose a Vet "Smoothing" or reshuffle so to speak. Right Now Grenadiers have Vet 1 : Unlocks the "Field First Aid" ability. Vet 2 : +40% accuracy. Vet 3 :-20% weapon cooldown. -25% recharge time of the Panzerfaust. -20% received damage. I would propose Vet 1: -10% received damage Vet 2: -10% received damage Vet 3: +40% Accuracy -20% Weapon Cooldown -25% recharge time of Panzerfaust Grenadiers would perform the same at Vet 3 but early on they will bleed less at the expense of putting its big damage spike at Vet 3 and also help from losing squads during retreat early on. The faction is already easy as hell to play and win with I don't see the point of making their alreadu effective units cheaper on reinforcement or purchase cost. In: COH2 Balance
