The build order you've highlighted is to quickly cap as much territory as possible, use Pios to spot for your HMG, fast tech, and get PGrens. Panzergrenadiers are to stand up to allied infantry and practically bully everyone when they hit the field at 4-5min. G43s are a favorable upgrade because it solves PGrens' 2 main weaknesses: long-range engagements and heavy cover vs heavy cover engagements (where the low accuracy of the StG makes their DPS suffer). JLI is a favorable commander because the Jaeger Command Squad has a Panzerfaust to cover up for the fact that PGrens have no vehicle snares. In the end, builds and playstyles are a matter of personal preference. I love PGrens as I have been doing T2 rushes ever since I started playing WM on the ladder. From what I've seen Grens actually preform a lot better than most people want to admit. Are you guys forgetting it's only a 240 MP unit? In: Ostheer Strategies

Whenever I play ez mode v2.0 (OKW) my Volks always slaughter everyone elses mainlines except Tommies and Penals (if you consider Penals a mainline). Grens are really good too they might be now better actually. The ranking for mainlines as far as over all effectiveness probably are: 1 - Grenadiers, barely take any damage, easy and cheap upgrades that outpreform BARs and Brens, hard counter to Conscripts and Rifleman 2 - Volksgrens, good upgrades with no side techs that come early which gives them an edge over opponents nullifying any advantages they would otherwise have 3 - Tommies used to be #1 before being beaten with the nerf hammer, weapon upgrades require a side tech despite their poor preformance, still okay vetted 4 - Cheap Soviet infantry with 6 men, not great combat wise but have decent upgrades with certain doctrines 5 - Riflemen stock preformance better than before, over all preformance very poor for 280 MP 28 reinforcement cost and 150 MP 15 fuel side tech and 120 munitions for double BARs just to keep up with Volksgren preformance, also no grenades without an additional side tech of 150 MP and 15 fuel, and no snare without vet 1. Perhaps the most hamstrung infantry unit in the game. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Fallschirmjäger is very OP!6 Oct 2019, 20:09 PM OKW is the game's infantry faction. They have unquestionably the best infantry in this game at pretty much every level. At the engineer level with Strumpioneers, the mainline infantry level with Volksgrenadiers and Panzerfusilers, and now at the elite infantry level with Obersoldaten and now Fallschrimjagers. If you spend any time playing USF you'll see this. The only infantry you can roll out to try to deal with them seem to be Paratroopers but with their arrival limited to CP3 it's pretty much too little too late. It's almost like USF should have an MG T0 to even the playing field some what that or make fighting positions cheaper and for God's sake reduce the time it takes to upgrade them. In: COH2 Balance

I do think the earlier point about changing heavy tanks price may make sense, they seem like a bargain at current cost and timing and they have been at ~230 fuel forever now. THe argument for keeping the price low would be "cheap tank destroyers will counter it anyways" but at least in 1v1 tds often come after then heavy tank if at all. You need at least two "cheap" tank destroyers to effectively counter a King Tiger so thats 800 MP and 290 fuel (using Jacksons as an example) to counter 720 MP and 280 Fuel. Though granted the King Tiger costs more to fully tech to get it. In: COH2 Balance
