Thread: Grens UP & G43s suck2 Oct 2019, 04:01 AM Grens are the best 240 MP unit in the game BY FAR. Look at the price difference between Grens and Rifles, 40 MP. Then look at the preformance difference, there pretty close even if Rifles have a little bit of an edge. Now look at the price difference between Rear Echeleons and Grens, also 40 MP but the preformance gap is huge. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Easy USF fix2 Oct 2019, 03:14 AM USF is already fixed. All it needs are 9 pop Rangers and and a 260 MP and 6 pop .50 cal. Cancer-42 will stay and OKW elite infantry cancer blobs will stay too so you'll still get your Axis ez mode. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Problems against armor in the lategame1 Oct 2019, 23:16 PM The Soviets have undoubtedly the worst stock late game armor and arguably the worst armor period in this game. I'm not saying it's necessarily terrible but it's not nearly as potent as Axis armor and doesn't synergize nearly as well as what USF and UKF have. What to do? Well you can try armored assault doctrine that will give you access to more powerful T34/85s as well as an IS2 heavy tank. In: Red Army Strategies

Stormjäger Which is the long way of telling him what I said a page back about the mp costs being in a different context for each faction due to playstyle, effective ranges, teching etc. He doesn’t listen though, so he’s gonna come back and say “but why should I pay 280mp and ost gets grens for 240mp? It doesn’t make sense!” Okay USF does get free officers with teching and doesn't require building construction and the associated costs, fair point. In: COH2 Balance

For the last time, 280mp for usf is not the same as 280mp for Ostheer. It’s not “paying more”. Is there some unit USF has that costs considerably less than OST or OKW's counterpart? I can't think of a single one besides maybe RE vs Strums. I can think of many Axis though that outpreform what USF has. Is it some inalienable right for the Axis factions to get both inexpensive and quality units? In: COH2 Balance

Debate29 Sep 2019, 23:30 PM People may prefer playing Axis, because they like the appearance of the units, because they like the military history of Germany, because they adhere to the belief in Germany's alledged technical supremacy over the Allies or because they may just like the tech tree and play style of those factions. In any case those people will always say OKW and OST are weak and unbalanced. In: COH2 Balance

You keep saying garbage like (unit x costs y and should beat unit z) over and over and over and overn and over again. Just cut it out. There’s no global mp economy and nobody uses unit costs for comparison. Every faction is built in a specific way with specific timings, strengths, weaknesses and traits in mind and in the concept of timings the costs have been assigned to keep each faction consistent and balanced. Ostheer having a 240mp mainline and USF having a 280mp mainline means literally NOTHING. They belong in different factions. So USF should have to pay more for units that are inferior to or barely on par with Axis counter parts? I mean the cost of units is supposed to matter isn't it? This is the kind of crap that gave us JLI last patch and Fallschrimjagers this patch. In: COH2 Balance
