Thread: OKW 22115 Dec 2018, 16:49 PM I'm usually getting a pair of them as sort of a very early Luchs, if you upgrade to 223 they have about the same firepower and survivability if you keep them together. Then straight into Puma. As soon as it becomes too dangerous I move them back and set them up as caches for the rest of the game. Seems to work really well, especially if you have a munitions point to farm. Gives a nice stockpile of muni for all the tank abilities in late game. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Counters to Penals+Shocks into IS2 as OKW?15 Dec 2018, 11:07 AM Panther with tank commander and HEAT shells should annihilate IS-2. Make sure to keep it at max range so the IS-2 can't fire back effectively. With the HEAT shells it should have an easy time to pen at max range and take out a sizable chunk of HP per shot. One kinda counter to Shock troops are SpecOps Obersoldaten with the STG44 upgrade and bundled grenades. SpecOps also has the infiltration grenades which gives Volks a good chance to kill charging Shocks. Probably the new Jaeger Light Infantry too as they'll snipe models with ease and cause massive bleed. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Dealing with blobs15 Dec 2018, 08:44 AM There should simply be a penalty that squads in close proximity to each other (range 0-10 or w/e) receive more RA. Like +3% RA for every model within said distance. Want to run around with 4 Volks or 4 Penals? Fine, enjoy +45% RA or +54% RA per squad and see how long this blob lasts. There was a similar system for Panzer Elite in CoH1 where squads would buff each other like this (it was a tech upgrade). It was called Group Zeal. It should work like that, but the other way around. This would simulate bullets being fired at one squad hitting the other (realistic) and it should be more punishing the larger the blob is (gameplay). It has the advantage that it directly buffs all available counters at once (small arms fire, indirect and tanks alike) while not making any of them more powerful against single squads than they currently are. The scorched earth booby traps have been disabled on VP on purpose, as they would deny capping a VP for 90 seconds (like it does with resource sectors) which would be unfair in a clutch VP match. Thread: Nerf snipers14 Dec 2018, 21:48 PM CoH2 is pretty much unsalvageable, but I really hope that if there's ever a CoH3 that snipers are replaced by recon squads that act more like Jaeger Light Infantry or Pathfinders. With a lot of abilities (view range, mark target, maybe snipe model for muni, etc.) that will greatly supplement the other infantry but isn't as devastating on its own. In: COH2 Balance

You can't close in with infantry to kill them, plus in mid range combat, they also beat Riflemen. At least that's what i experienced since the new patch went live. They get one transferable normal G43, and -10% received accuracy and -15% weapon cooldown. It's an upgrade that costs 60 munitions and 30 MP to reinforce the extra model. They are at best equal to Riflemen with 1 BAR, but usually narrowly lose as far as I could tell in tests. While costing the same basically (270MP/60MU vs 280MP/60MU) and Riflemen can get the edge with a second BAR. In: COH2 Balance
