Is everyone going to ignore the fact that the guy had 8 M10s? XD
True way to counter Axis AT, throw more tanks at it!
When you're USF, you don't have popcap. The popcap has USF
Welcome to Scuderia Ferrari's pit stop, what can we do for you? xD
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Red Ball Express grand prix. In today's race, the pole position belongs to U.S. Army Ordnance Department's M10 Tank Destroyer with the astonishing time of 1 minute and 15 seconds
Especially as soviets in teamgames. Just how? If I don't go for t-34/85 and rush it with Mark target I usualyl cannot do much and it will eat away at any armor me or my team has from long range. What are the options to counter it? Usually they are also supported by other armor or AT aswell/Grens with fausts ready to destroy engines so not sure how I'm supposed to deal with them except rush with overwhelming numbers/flank and probably end up losing more than what they are worth
If you don't go for T-34/85, then you should rely on SU-85s, and along with your Allies (USF, UKF) you should engage them first before they manage to field more tanks, because they will definitely rush you and destroy you with minimal casualties. A thing i have done with my friends many times is a complete armor dive to destroy their tanks and then withdraw. I personally engaged with a few tanks because i was responsible for the Anti-Infantry part, but it worked. My Soviet friend spammed T-34/85s, i, as USF, had 3 Jacksons and 1 Pershing, and our last USF guy had 8 M10s. We engaged 3 Panthers, 2 Panzer IVs and 1 Jagdtiger, and just steamrolled them. We even engaged OKW's HQs and destroyed them. Your infantry should wipe their ATs and force their infantry back, so that your tanks can push forward. Any damaged tank should retreat for repairs while the rest keep pushing the enemy.
When playing USF, i always get Pack Howitzer because it has more range than the standard USF mortar, and it has a better punch against static targets in general. It's also good for area denial with the phosphorus barrage.
If you're pushing your opponent and you are ahead on resources, you got for a Sherman and then you field Jacksons. Shermans can help you push blobs, dislocate MGs and if you have a pair of them, they can deal with a Panzer IV pretty easily.
Is what Dane saying accurate? Is the reason Assault Grenadiers are complete and utter trash and always have been because Allied SMGs get an assault rifle profile, while Axis SMGs, including the ones Volksgrenadiers now get in Feuersturm, get a different profile, which is what makes them such trash at anything other than melee range?
So all the Allied units with SMGs get to run and gun through open fields and actually be effective, while Axis SMG units need to pull of nigh impossible feats of flanking to do anything at all?
And are the new Ostheer Stormtroopers going to have an SMG profile or an assault rifle profile?
Assuming what Dane is saying is correct, this is just further proof that Axis, and Ostheer especially, are simply intentionally designed to be inferior, given issues like this and the fact that the 222 "armored car" is STILL not actually armored to this day.
What excuse can there possibly be for just blatantly making Axis weapons and units objectively, observably worse? Not in terms of tournament win/loss ratios, not in terms of vague theorycrafting balance discussions, but in terms of objectively observable facts (i.e. weapon profiles of SMGs and absence of actual armor on an armored car).
Why don't Assault Grenadiers and SMG Volks get to have the sheer destructive power of Allied SMG squads? Like, crap-your-pants-while-hitting-retreat power, the way Allied SMG squads interact with Axis units?
Why do Allied light armor units get to drive around the entire map and into an Axis base without taking literally a single point of damage, while the 222 blows up from base MGs while trying to finish off a sniper?
And the overarching question that covers all of this: why do Allied factions get to pose a GRAVE THREAT to Axis players, yet Axis units pose NO THREAT to Allied players?
I personally have never known anything about weapon profiles, and to anyone else who didn't, this Dane video is going to be a revelation of epic proportions that showcases just how blatantly unfair CoH2 faction design is.
If Dane's problem is the weapon damage, i got an idea.
Let's nerf ALL allied units to the ground by giving them Mannlicher-Schönauer bolt action rifles, and give to every Axis unit HK G3A3 and HK G36C Assault Rifles so that you will be satisfied.
PS : They are better because RATE OF FIRE! That's why!
You do know that the m26 has more armour and equal pen to the panther, right?
It's weird, because in every game i have fielded a M26, it can't hold its ground against a Panther. And i have also seen M26's shot bouncing on a Panther.
M20 mine -> 340mp 20fuel for 240hp light vehicle, need 70 muni for skirt, finally get 320hp wow!!
but 222 car easily counter M20 even 222 car is more cheap
M6 is good? too long to build and more expensive than teller mine (60 / 50)
echelon light mine -> u seriously use this mine? just do little dmg and stop vehicle few minutes
no one think this is "useful"
demo charge -> come on, who care this trash? and this is doctrine unit skill(assult engineer)
if u dont know what am i saying, just play soem USF
I know what you're saying because i am playing USF mate. Maybe a buff on Rear Echelon's mines will be good. And by saying buff, i mean deal more damage.
people are ignoring the key issue here, the fact USF already have mines. Just that they are tiered to an overpriced vehicle that gets bullied by a 200mp 15f 222.
What I propose is put the mp cost down to 200 and pop cap to mirror the bren carrier, also increase the repair speed on heavy vehicles for the crew. Then we would see people building them lategame to polish off an army comp for mobile repairs and mines rather than a dead unit it currently is.
It's a utility car but right now it's stuck between being an overpriced combat vehicle and a meh utility vehicle. If you want an interesting unit buff the utility side of it repairs, scouting, mine laying as already mentioned.
This way USF can have their tool but in a unique flavour, kind of like how coming brit snares will be on royal engies.
Don't forget that the M20 crew has bazookas to defend itself
