I'd be fine with such things, as long as you could toggle it off but keep the current range indicators for units that can only shoot while stationary (okw flak-trak, snipers, etc.)
There's the lame ass "turn into not-at-all-conspicuous bushes" cloak that soviet gets with the one doctrine (tank hunters I think). All tanks can do that tho, not just the su-85.
You can but it's fairly impractical in any fast-paced situation.
Yeah, I'm just saying it's an option. Though it can be crucial in some situations so as to avoid getting shot by an AT gun or emplacement or whatever else.
You sort of have it already with units that can attack ground -- you can use the icon-change as an indicator for how far out they can shoot (not counting miss/overshooting).
The wider sandbags are arguably better in some ways than smaller sandbags since it means less clustering and so less potential for nade/mortar/AOE wipes.
I'd personally make it so mainline make crappier (yellow) sandbags or dirt mounds and the engineer units make proper green sandbags.
I played a team game (as Sov) and there was one ost player who made 1 MG42 and 5 Mortars as his opening build order. It was in Ettelbruck Station, top right VP.
I wasn't even mad at that point.
Things changed when I rushed katy but for the first few minutes it was a painful game of "never stand still for more than 1 second".
