(that includes other faction and commander also also). Sure, but this would require a massive overhaul -- there are a ton of commanders that grant upgunned tanks or heavy tanks and also an infantry upgrade. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: How would you like the JLI to be nerfed?16 Jan 2019, 18:58 PM Two ways I can see it (the specifics may be hammered out, ofc, but the main points being to align their cost and performance by either 1) increasing cost or 2) decreasing performance.) 1) Make them cost 320-360 MP and increase Muni cost for the G43 by an additional 15-20. Keep the rest of the stats the same, so they are still a super strong squad but cannot be spammed and must be used with more care. Also makes reinforcing them more expensive so you can't just leave the squad to tank hits without any consequence. 2) Reduce their accuracy and garrison/cover accuracy such that they aren't basically guaranteed to always hit, drop the sniping crit to 55% (still better than Pathfinders), and drop their near-range accuracy so they really suffer when a squad gets up close to them. Put cost to 280. I am not a fan of making squads weaker, so I naturally prefer option 1. The problem isn't that the squad is strong, the problem is that it can be spammed to hell. Keeping them strong but making them a tactical unit for sight or to add model drops to other units is a good call, and if the nerf makes them unused like before then I think that's a fail state. Alternative: Make them like the 5 man squad you can only have one of. The above may have some details here and there that don't align with le "Perfect Balance"(tm) but I think you can still understand what the intent is. In: COH2 Balance

Generally speaking mainline infantry should not be able to built cover (or should take way too long) that includes most infantries. (maybe not conscripts with out ppsh) "Riflemen field defense" could allow fighting position and wire for riflemen and the rest should be move to R.E. Possible abilities for riflemen could include a "hit the ground" ability or/and a weapon upgrade to Garand C (already in game) increasing long DPS or rifle grenade weapon. I'm not against that idea, but I think the change would have to start with all the other infantry and that Rifle Company specifically seems like the ideal choice to buff Riflemen with field defenses and sandbags. If it comes, and you hit mass retreat, the bombing planes will drop bombs on your base. The point I bring up again is that it's not _predicitable_, not that it does a ton of damage. The damage is fine, the difficulty in reading where the hell it's going isn't. You have to frantically move your units around for fear that they may have been targeted even if you shot the first plane down. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: The Overwatch Problem12 Jan 2019, 23:00 PM If you can fix the sector assault nuke to be predictable, in other words so planes don't appear out of nowhere and bomb the other side of the map, then that ability would be fine as well. The problem isn't that it can kill clustered armies in a few seconds, the problem is you can't tell where or how it will go off, and once that ability is used it effectively means that sector and nearby is lava for 2 minutes. Thread: COMMANDER REVAMP LIVE - BUG REPORTING11 Jan 2019, 06:07 AM Not sure if this was already reported, but consistently I find the Maxim won't setup when I tell it to. If I use right click drag arrow/cone to orient it in a specific direction I'll often come back to see it's in that position, but isn't setup. I don't have this other issue with other HMGs, and when watching it to see if it's me giving it another command that overwrites the orientation I find that it isn't the case (i.e, it seems to be a bug).
