SOV are still sucking heavily in the early game by 222 with flame upgrade, making Soviets bleeding by manpower a LOT. There was some examples in the tourney. Flame weapon should cost a manpower too, because either way it just too much efficient weapon for a little cost |

The two main meta 1v1 Soviet commanders are Guards Rifle Combined Arms (which has just about everything now) and Guards Motor Coordination, which is in the free set.
Tank Hunter can work great, but takes a fair bit of skill to pull off in 1v1. Luvnest used it in GCS 2, the big 1v1 tournament that just passed. Can you share with a link? |
Hi. I main SOV player and I always had problems against blobs of grens with mg42 upgrade. It's just making all my infantry useless, except penals if they catch grens 1v1, or if I sacrifice my penals to the Maxim guns for blob control. Any ideas? |
I can guarantee you they will not focus on the Eastern Front again. They will want some sort of hook to differentiate it from the other games, and setting is the easiest way to change that.
If I had to guess it will either be USA vs Japan, or Brits vs Germans in Africa. The second one makes the most sense, they could easily churn out an expansion for that with USA vs Italy.

WW1 was boring, almost no tanks, meaning there is nothing was something relative, to promise a dynamic combat that we have in CoH2. And yes, if you want to say something aboud "my mom's work", post here screenshots and videos, so we all can see his work.

While it is simple to prevent axis from doing it, it is still simple to destroy that bunker with any high caliber gun (AT gun, medium tanks, tank destroyers, mortars).
Maybe you just suffering in late game by micro-controlling or not using AT gun.

This question is tricky because OP taking into account how easy it is to play given faction.
I'd say that Wehrmacht is the strongest if you manage to play it perfectly, but it is very error prone.
But if you throw in some mistakes in your play I'd say Soviets is the strongest, because they are very forgiving.
Other factions are too crippled by absence of certain tools in their disposal. Often it is easy to play against them utilizing their weak sides (which is also very map dependent). First thing that comes into mind is disparity in anti-garrison tools and availablilty of indirect fire options in early-to-mid stages of game. How exatcly they are forgiving? |

Every KV-1 doctrine with a flame artillery support is more suited for playing against OST with a much support weapons, allowing you to push, while they are relocating. Other thing, you won't get Guards and flame together.
B-4 doctrine is good choice too. Agressive build with shocktroops, combined with mortar vet0 flare and munitions float, makes your agressive build even stronger. Later on, flare advantage will be more useful, when B-4 hits in the game (B-4 can insta destroy medium armor by shell falling really close.) And on the top of cake you will have a KV-1 that with double engineer would quickly repait to its 840hp (same with Panther, but repairing are faster)
Not even talking about "For Mother Russia" ability.
But picking a doctrine just for KV-1 is not always a good idea. Sometimes you could just not have enough fuel, or KV-1 would be not fitting into your agressive playstyle, since it will be slow to react on flank attacks.
p.s KV-1 is worse AI, than t-34, since it's coaxial MG wasn't buffed unlike t34's |
