I voted yes. I think that this sort of thing is what the brits have been missing in both CoH1 and CoH2. this could be precisely what they need. They are supposed to be a defensive faction but relic have limited their options as to what kind of ordinance they can utilise in this format. This flexible method of defensive could, with the right implementation, open up new and fresh way of playing which is what this game needs imo. The only problem with this is that no one can truly know what kind of effect this would have on the meta. I haven't tried this mod yet and I will come back with more feedback. But for now i'll get behind it. Thanks A.Soldier for at least trying something new and changing the more and more stagnant and cancerous approaches to developing this game. |
yep. Bofors is ridiculous. It either needs a hefty price tag or a severe AI debuff (rotation speed in particular, that thing moves like it's got two motors turning it) . Seen it many times when someone rounds a blind corner with two squads of infantry, run into a Bofors that hasn't been scouted and immediately gets them slaughtered because they weren't following them with the camera every step of the way |

I'd like to see this game moving away from no-brainer weapon upgrades, especially LMGs as they can be effectively used through A-move commands.
I would argue that upgrades like the PPSH's aren't necessarily a no-brainer due to the range damage nerf. Much like how penals become less effective AI with PTRS'. Rather than foe type dependant they are more map dependant. Although reading your comment I see that you didn't specifically mention PPSH upgrades. |
Remove Molotov delay, and not at the second level of vet. Add non-doctrinal PPSh, replace PPSh in doctrine to SVT-40.

The thing is that Stuarts, AECs and T70 are shock tanks that help you to get a bigger advantage in the mid game. Of course the Luchs also has a big shock factor as it rips inf apart in seconds, but in this case it acts like a single counter to a current Meta strategy. Lose your Luchs and you lost the game. Lose your Stuart/AEC/T70 and you lost a lot of fuel but by no means the whole game as they are not necessarily needed to counter something.
And still all Light Vehicles can be countered fairly well by all factions IMO. Only Ostheer, which is not the topic of this thread, has a hard time.

Sovs: Even with T1 they have AT Penals, can build Cons with AT nades, T70, Mines
USF: Bazookas, M5, M20 AT Mines (hahahahhaa)
UKF: AT gun, Sniper, PIATs, Mines
OKW: Raketenwerfer, Fausts, AT Sturms, Mines
