Do this many people really dislike raid? Early m20s get free reign to cap 3-4 points in the duration, and the ability can later be used for comically fast back capping or, if you have multiple light vehicles, mass capping of the map. It makes a single light vehicle have the capping power of 3 squads, and that just really helps for keeping up map pressure.
Is the capping significantly faster? Tbh I don't think I've ever even used the ability because I'd rather have another BAR or throw another nade. |
i know what u mean but then when u over the yellows circle a number appears and it says aoe:6.7
I mean just reading that it seems wrong knowing that distances are usually meters in this game. A 6.7m radius AoE would probably hit entire squads and almost never miss from scatter. That just seems way off. |
airdrop battle group is fine now
I hope raid tactics will be replaced with supply drops zone

I like it. Raid is cheap for what it is really. Increased Los on all infantry is pretty dope for only 40mu.if anything capping with lights is a bonus.
Wouldnt mind seeing some munitions costs drop on things like the I&R arty just so the strain isn't so high but all in all I think it's a fun commander. Going all 3 officers gives you everything you NEED and lots of field presence, as said paras can get zooks and lay mines, pak howo now offers indirect fire. It's a very aggressive commander.
I don't like raid because it feels really superfluous. You can just decrew vehicles to cap because realistically the only time you'll be able to cap with raid is when there's no contact. Any AT and you have to run away, and any infantry with snares you also have to run away. I guess if his army is only jaegers you can cap stuff with it. The sight range bonus is nice, but the commander is already so muni heavy and pathfinders have more than enough sight range already. I'd much rather see it replaced with suply drops. |
I have yet to play with it, but it seems like it'd be a good idea to tech both officers now since you have greyhound as LV and then can get mgs, atguns, and a pack howie all at once. Seems pretty useful. |
The more they double down on Jaeger spam the better the T70 becomes since Jaegers don't have snares( depending on what aspects of Overwatch you have problems with). Mine sweepers are also a must since they will neutralize the flares and theoretically alert you to any meme Goliaths.

Theoretically shocks should be the best infantry counter to JLI, since they're good where JLIs are weak (close range) and have smoke to minimize casualties while closing. |
As Katitof said though try to be more mobile and aggressive as opposed to static gameplay. In addition you could build Howitzers and the Vet 1 ability will automatically fire at enemy artillery units.
On a side note it would be nice if they brought back the Panzerfeldhaubitze 18M auf Geschützwagen III/IV (Sf) Hummel from COH 1 in some way.
Yeah if you're really having trouble with arty destroying "defensive positions" you should really just not be building so many defensive positions. Resort to aggressive infantry and tank play instead. Blitzkrieg, not Atlantic Wall
I really wish there was a hummel too but sadly Relic won't add any more assets to the game. |
Oh wait, this is the first time someone plays the cheap card saying volks are the problem. Yeah there are 5 threads for that, you can go cry yourself to sleep there.
Edit: Lets start to get some constructive discussions. If not Always the grass is greener on the other side, and this forum will not be other thing but toxic discussions of nonesense people bashishg each others heads
You literally critiqued people for "play[ing] the cheap card" (which just happens to be something that goes against your opinion) and called for "constructive discussions" in the same post? Don't cal for something you aren't willing to do for even one second.
You started the toxicity when you called for a ban on someone who said something you don't agree with. |
Now you have 2 zooks. Instead of just pushing off the 222 yuu might even kill it and now you can even threaten a luchs.
True but honestly would still be more useful to have M20 skirts stock and then just tech for the second zook if you really need it. Not like you'll regret teching racks anyway and the M20 skirts are mandatory. |
The m20 zook isn't dedicated AT. It's a stop gap so that you arnt completely without when the 222 hits or if the enemy builds a bunker, or a cache. It's not meant to be your main source of AT.
And the crew gains vet through the m20 so it does get vetted without leaning on the zook.
Yeah but now LT has a zook upgrade and actually benefits from vet bonuses and isn't super squishy and like 30 to reinforce or whatever. I'd much rather use that and have skirts stock on the m20. It makes a lot more sense IMO.
Not if you hop it out. The vehicle crews also have super high vet requirements IIRC so M20 might even vet faster than the crew. |
I kind of wish it came with skirts stock and without the bazooka. Jump the crew out and you have a very expensive to reinforce squad for 1.25 target size or whatever they have. Not really that useful of a dedicated AT squad because of their squishiness that only improves at vet3 (which they'll probably never reach unless they singlehandedly kill a tiger on hold fire or something. |
