Just factually wrong. They need to be build from T0, they are not call-in. They are more expensive than Volks at 280MP and can´t outnumber anyone. They are also not any more or less blobable than any other infantry.
Oh no the same price as almost everyone else's mainlines. What a shame.
6 men with 3 g43s (which lose almost no DPS on the move and are good at all ranges) a squad, 25mp reinforce, nades, flares, snares, and vet5 sprint is pretty blobbable but ok. |
Just wanted to throw out an idea that'd hopefully make the WC51 better to play with and against:
I'd propose removing its ability to carry a squad entirely and instead giving it the .50 cal stock at a higher price, like 260-280mp. That way it functions more as a harassment unit, providing long range DPS that USF sorely lacks in the early game, instead of being an annoying clown car wipe machine that's basically a one trick pony. IMO this wouldn't be OP because a) it's doctrinal b) it's less responsive and manueverable than the kubel and c) it's pretty much made out of wet tissue paper anyway. It'd serve a better, less cheesy, more actually useful role and IMO it'd be much more fun to play with. |
Happens to me as well.
Happens to other MGs sometimes too. I'm not even sure if it's a new bug but I don't remember definitively |
I agree that heavies should be just scaled up generalists, but as to OP, I think TDs are less of a "silver bullet" and more the only viable choice. Mediums won't ever be able to flank a competently controlled heavy since they're not that much faster than a lot of heavies and because of prevalence of snares, and infantry AT and AT guns struggle to pen and will often get killed by any of the heavies faster than they can do any damage to it. |
Absolutely, categorically no.
People complain about the PzGrens, but having Paratroopers with Thompsons or LMGs running around at minute 5 would wreck Axis unit on the field at that point, in particular Grens would be absolutely demolished.
Second, if you want to talk about Paratroopers arriving too late and being squishy with 6 man, may I introduce you to Fallschirmjägers?
That's why I suggested locking lmgs and thompsons beind 3cp. Read the thread.
Also, falls have 2 objectively better nades, have .83 RA (to compensate for being a small squad, which is totally fine), camo, and completely free fg42s that are great at all ranges, as opposed to paying 90-120 muni for weapon upgrades that take some time as well. Just food for thought.
The basic Paratroopers being CP2 probably wouldn't hurt, especially at their current price.
You might need to keep the weapon upgrades gated behind CP3 (or Racks) though.

never noticed it didnt, had the opprotunity today (scwhere was behind a shot blocker) and all my reward was a retreated blob and i was out the MP for the paras and the muni for the demo.
seems like a major flaw in design.
Yeah if you can get close enough to a lefh for like 7 seconds or whatever with a squad that has a 1 target size, you deserve the kill.
Plus, that kind of stuff is literaly what paras did in real life so... |
It should. No two ways about it. That has always kinda pissed me off. |
1cp is a bit too early IMO, I think they should be 2 CP in the same tier as guards and shock troops

IMO weapon upgrades should be locked behind 3cp as they're some of the best in class in the game, and a lot of other elite infantry comes at 3cp. They're about pgren level with just the carbines, so I think it'd be perfectly fine if they came at the same time as guards and shocks. |
Honestly I would probably just remove the Battlephase 2 requirement and let Ostheer have a Puma within Tier 2, maybe increase it's cost a bit to compensate I feel like 80 would be fine. I think the old call-in Ostheer Puma was that cost. Right now it takes OKW about 130 fuel to obtain a Puma, with these changes the Ostheer Puma would require about 140-150 fuel which I think would be reasonable. If the doctrine becomes too powerful finally tying the Command Tank call-in to Tier 3 I think would be a good nerf just to prevent people from Puma spamming into Command Tank call-in. I feel Ostheer is the faction that could really use the Puma as I feel they struggle harder against light vehicles than OKW does. Usually OKW can at least get a Panzer II to tank damage for the Rak's whereas the Ostheer light vehicles aren't able to efficiently defend the Pak unless you build multiple of them which delays Tier 3.

I'm not sure why command tank was never tied to tech to begin with. |
I'd like to see it faster, since a lot of times smoke doesn't really even offer an advantage over just hitting whatever it is with HE instead and on the occasions when you do really need it it's often not fast enough to be that useful still. |
