A tank ace wouldn't risk his life by painting his tank in such an ugly, visible color, he would become the prime target for the enemy. It's not realism, man.
The solution is easy: make the current skin default, but make TA affected by skins in loadout. You can keep your distinct Tiger Ace, while I can make mine presentable.

Its one thing to be firing from the main gun, another thing to be firing from a launcher. A comparable ability is the Valentine smoke barrage, of which can fire without having to stop first

Can't say for certain, but I think this is true of any special shot. The tank will try to move into range to fire it. If it's already in range, it stops.
The Cromwell's smoke shell is the same. |
I may be misunderstanding what you mean, but the Sherman can move while using a smoke barrage. It'll stop when you issue the order, but if you then tell it to move again it won't cancel the barrage. |
Why ?
It's got all the shift-queue incompatibilities of Raketenwefer stealth and it's even slower. It makes them really irritating to reposition when you're microing a load of other units at the same time. |
Ok, but it will still hit the ground the moment there's cover or minimal elevation. Such thing can't be fixed.
It can be mitigated by better accuracy though. Accuracy shots that roll a hit pass through obstacles. It's scattershots that hit objects.
take the pak 40 at gun , call it pak 38, lower pen, add first strike bonus and soviet stealth, done fixed rakt

Nothing can be done, the profile of the unit will always cause reliability issues.
I'm talking a wider firing arc and/or better accuracy here. Maybe something like the 6-pounder's accuracy bonus vs light vehicles, or a Vet 0 first strike bonus. |
