You didn't get my point. It has worse AT than a Panther, but no AI to make up for it. I clearly requested buffing it's AI instead of AT in both my posts (read Comet/Firefly bit in my last alinea).
If OP's video is to be believed, even a pintled Panther outperforms it in AI, altough I know Pintle vs cannon comparisons are pretty RNG based.
Hammer providing other bonusses: fair enough, but without it I can't get to my overpriced Comet.
If memory serves, on stats alone, it's got the anti-infantry performance of a Cromwell. Same MGs, same AoE profile on the main gun. |
Remember when players were screaming that putting pak howitzers on the recon commander ability would result in nobody ever picking that doctrine and that relic hates usf for doing that?
The Pack Howie is good, but it's not ubiquitous. In my experience people usually go for M20/Stuart/50 cal instead. |
Not gonna lie, a free smoke barrage on the I&R Pathfinder instead of their current arty would be awesome.
The I&R Pathfinder arty is so good it's pretty much a guaranteed kill on a support weapon, but it's also super expensive in a munitions-hungry commander. Smoke barrages (with a global cooldown) would be useful every game. |
And mechanized hq the dominant tier for OKW. Same for both.
You said you see the Pack Howitzer in almost every game.
If that were true, Captain would be the dominant tier. |
If the whole reason UKF's early Bolster has to be such a massive power spike is the Ostheer sniper, give the Universal Carrier a huge boost versus snipers. Like, two bursts to kill one.
That prevents Ost from building a sniper until it has the tools to defend it from a UC. |
and the other being used in every single usf game with great performance
Lieutenant is the dominant tier for USF. |
They would work just fine like this, make them not able to shoot on or near the base and decrease their cooldown time.
That's an excellent fix for 1v1, but it might be a problem for team games. Howitzers are very popular in narrow lane grindfests. |
You could go the CoH1 route and buff light vehicles vs snipers, and I mean buff by doubling reveal distance and doubling damage so they die in one or two bursts even retreating.
The old jeep or bike would hardcounter any sniper build like this, but in coh2 they're just a minor annoyance and your sniper can just retreat away under Faust cover barely losing health.
The Kubel, Universal Carrier and M3A1 should all be as good as the Utility Car and 221 vs snipers in my opinion.
Just put it in tier 1 so the first 30 fuel has to be put on platoon and u have respectable choice of : do I want AEC fast to be aggressive and mobilewith good at or do I want more static but powerful strategy and hAve to relay on at guns + at nades from RE ?
Or you go Bolster, take huge swathes of the map and your heightened fuel income means you can have your AEC out in time for the light vehicle it needs to counter. |
Solid changes.
I'm curious as to why the Vickers K change was reverted though? It seemed sensible. |
If we just point out every difference between factions in some sort of bizarre internet dick measuring contest we'll be here all day.
I figured the healing aura having a cost would inject some diversity into UKF healing and weaken Section Spam. Based on the thread's poll, most others don't think it's a good idea, which is fair enough.
That's all there is to it. There's nothing to be gained by the usual suspects screaming and shouting about how overpowered the red units are. |
