Tellers cost 50 munitions.
my bad |
If the mgs is the issue remove them and make Panther an exact copy of Jackson.
Because currently the unit simply does not work.
Then it still most likely won't work due to high cost and the tier it is in. Tier IV is almost a liability in 1v1 when rushed. It is literally a tier for when oppertunity arises, which it quite often does not. |
triple MG on panther = almost no AI
ok
It's ai potency is neglicable when considering it faces 5 to 6 men squads imo. Considering other heavy tanks with more ai killing power face 4 men to 5 men squads and only 4 men squads when facing Ostheer, the Panther is really lackluster, espeically the Ostheer one. |
Pak 40s tend to work best in tandum with a stug or another armored fighting vehicle whilst being covered by mgs and/or infantry.
Stugs work best in pairs, as our lord and savior ImperialDane tells us every single cast. Stugs also work well with other armored fighting vehicles, such as a Panzer IV. The best combo I feel is a Panzer IV covered by double Stugs. When possible add a pak40 to this.
When you have this combo up, make sure you mine enough, especially the flanks. Tellers are expensive, so make sure they are on spots you can keep an eye on in case of sweepers.
Lastly, your stugs (and combinations with other armored fighting vehicles) and pak40s work best when screened by a combined arms effort. This means infantry and mines too. Keep everything combined and ready to strike and support one another!

Honestly, I rarely see axis players use mines in a lot of my 2v2 games. Mines become even less used the higher up you get...
Well for OKW there is no excuse, since they are fairly cheap. For Ostheer, constantly putting out 60 munitions for a single purpose teller mine is quite expensive at some points in the game. However, there is no excuse to not spam s-mines. You can spam them in 1/4 of the large fields as well, reducing cost quite effectively. |
You do know that veterancy in coh2 has nothing to do with kills, right? Its not wrong, its just how it was designed and it is in many ways better than coh1 kill based system.
It is flawed since whether you like or not lol. The fact that you can gain veterancy just by taking damage without even getting kills and then get better offensive stats shows how flawed it is. |
The only observation with which I disagree here is your conclusion.
If SEGA paid approximately $26 million for Relic in 2013, my guess is that SEGA could sell on Relic and another developer would finish COH3. In fact, it has been at the back of my mind that SEGA may be using AoE4 as a marketing tool and could try to sell off Relic before the release of AoE4 - it would be a safer bet than waiting on the outcome of AoE4, when the value of the Relic asset could diminish.
That is indeed an interesting thought and one that I wouldn't see impossible either. But considering the situation of Relic when CoH2 launched in its rather lackluster state and the community's full knowledge of this situation in relation to the lackluster state of launch, wouldn't such an act (the premature selling of Relic) still mean the deathbed for Relic since the community will not buy into another fiasco. |
Any question about RNG?
Still vet 2 lol. Veterancy system is so busted in this game. |
I haven't seen them that often to be honest and I haven't used them much myself either. The fact that they now parachute in, makes them even more squishy than they were before. They can get butchered when parachuting down and not being instantly ready to fight since they need to get themselves ready. They are still the squishy 4 men squad that can easily get insta gibbed by any aoe weaponry, especially tanks. To add to this, they now die if they collide with obstacles when you call them in like paratroopers do.
In my honest opinion, they are simply a shining example of why this game doesn't hold true to its own design choices. OKW is supposed to be a late war faction, fuel starved and supposed to have less equipment that is more powerful. Yet here comes the Luftwaffe to drop in 4 guys behind enemy lines when the tanks have barely any fuel left. |
This is sad but to be expected. I just don't get how you can ignore your dev team's feedback when you are designing a game and still be unaware of what your customers and potential customers want when you have a medium called the Internet which makes you able to communicate with pretty much anyone on the planet.
Ah well. If AoE4 fails then there will be no coh3. |
