Wouldn't green cover in all directions not make sense considering the space that's open to walk through into the trench?
It becomes difficult to use if not. That is why. On such small ways placement isn't that easy, also the jump-animator makes smaller trenches nearly unplay-able. Also it can happen, that the niveau doesn't get cut out by 100%.
BUT, if you want, play the test-mod for some minutes, you will find an older protoype using the directional cover.
Test it! It is still beta. (I made it today, A. Soldier was my beta-tester ^^)
Edit: If you want, you can also test the leIG18. I overworked it with some new abilities, so it doesn't suck as much as current version.
- direct AT-fire. (weak hollow-charges, only effective versus vehicle) -> lock out smoke and long-range HE
- direct HE-fire. (costs mun. for 4x direct shots on target, worse accureacy, quick reload)
All vehicles get less max. speed and less rotation speed, so they can't road-kill so easy. The infantry will run away as normal. You can also dodge with jumping out.
Beside, if tank-traps get yellow-cover instead of green, you could build them in front...
Edit: If that isn't enough I can make side-blockers for vehicels too, so they can't drive in all directions over it. You decide! ;D
To make game more reallistic I made a new interpration of trenches. I wish this can replace trench of Ostheer (because they don't need an emplacement) so Brits can get their trench work like an emplacement. So all fractions become unique.
More or less it is a better version of sand-bags.

A. Soldier and Vipper tested it... they like it... so give it a try.
- "green cover" in all directions (orientation not imporant)
- extra 30% less damage for all infantry
- infantry can jump over it
- all vehicles can cross over
- to prevent road-kills all vehicles will be slow down while Crossing (speed to 0,1 - rotation to 0,5)
But then the worldmodel will still be a normal stg, I guess if that's not important, it could be an option.
How should these scoped stgs work? Less dps at short range, more at med and long range?
a. simply copy+paste the PnzGrns G43 stats or b. make individual
PnzGrns G43-upgrade is so or so not Logical, why changing STG with G43? That makes no sence.
That would simulate Mp44 single-fire mode -> mark-target will change the animator to full-auto.
Beside:
- Remove the MP40 of Ostheer's Pio, give them a Lugar (same stats) or a K98 (Volks) instead.
- Sturmtruppen should get a PPsh instead of the MP40. (rename it MP41[r] PPSh41 9 mm)
Maybe G43 should bundle with Veteran squad leader……Grens upgrade squad size+1 and got 2xG43,PzGrens upgrade got mark target ability and 4xG43,same to StromTroopers……
I am still for split up the guns and the abilities.
-> like I said, there is an unused up-grade icon, a Symbol für STG44(Mp44) with Scope.
So we can upgrade PnzGrens with G43 or with better STGs.
